  1. page 700!
  2. *pokes with pokey obect*
  3. It's about shave time, and I've gotta figure out what my "new to me" shave will be tonight.
  4. Heyyy!
  5. same here....
    :rolleyes::D
  6. *shuffles wearily through thread on way to bed*

Finally stopped raining... for now. More on the way tomorrow. :prrr
  7. Sleep well, Brian. Raining here tonight too, but it's a nice rain. Makes me glad it's springtime.
  8. I ought to be heading to bed soon as well.. but I am not quite tired yet... I really will be when that alarm goes off in the AM....

I think that tomorrows shave will be my almost fubar R R medium length super adjustable. :D Penhaligon's Castile SC sample, and a SCS Parma Violet sample.
  9. So Justin, you got it back together and it's not totally fubar? Cool! Is everything working now? You've got the only mid-length SA on the planet!
  10. winds been building up real good the past few hours, just now seeing some rain...should be gone in a few minutes, though
  11. Actually.. I have two mid-length ones. one is fubar and probably not a good idea to use (broken parts from two razors - shot spring and other things). Fubar long handle with short knob and better short handle with long knob end up being the same medium length.

The R R date code is back together; however, I have to be careful or the entire handle will turn messing up the adustments and knocking the whole calibration out of whack. I am hoping that after a number of uses, some lather will cement it together like it was before. Hmmm... maybe I shouldn't rinse the razor when I am done.... naaah! This however may mean that a 5 on my hybrid SA will not be the same as any other SA 5 or even the same SA on another day.

If you ever feel the need to take one of these SA apart... don't. However, as I was putting back together a junk razor and got a freebie junk razor for parts, what damage could I do? It was a fun project tonight... even if it was frustrating chasing down the missing spring and dealing with parts that weren't cooperating.
  12. No rain here. Was a nice day. I think tomorrow's New to Me shave will be the Vetiver so I can smell like an ass that fell into a campfire for a while :happy102 Going to use that OC Micromatic and see how I like it.
  13. funny... thats not how I would have decribed the Vetiver smell. I don't know how I would describe it. However, I must like it, because I keep using it!

Hope that OC MM does you well!
  14. the lather catcher is MUCH better than the micromatics...maybe it's just me, though
  15. Oh, of course you have two. I should know this really well - same thing happens when buying a parts pen to fix a busted pen (I end up needing more parts :D)

It sounds like you had a lot of fun. I predict that in a few months you'll have a budding business fixing adjustable razors. :happy102 Did you happen to take any pictures along the way?
  16. taking the adjustables apart is tedious, but not hard

I've done several, and surprisingly they all work better than before
  17. oh, forgot to mention the most important part:

  18. Wow, remind me not to try Vetiver! Think I'll splash on some of the new La Toja for tomorrow's NTM shave.

Better shut up now so I can do some pen work tonight!
  19. dang network was down most of the night.....wanna talk about withdrawl? holy crap!
