We had arranged for our reliefs to come in early for us, but then the FD decided to close us down tomorrow....no reliefs. I explained to our Battalion Chief what was going on, he said "F-it, shut down at 0430 then..." WOW never expected that one!
An understanding boss is a treasure. Sounds like he did a good job of building morale today too. Don't forget the camera tomorrow! Sleep fast...

Was late getting cranked off this morning. So I drove him to work. Could not get back to sleep. Glad it is just a half day at work today. How's the Y'alls?
Good morning! I've been up most of the night listening to a bunch of music and adding to my collection. It's been way too long since I just sat back and enjoyed my music. I need to do this more often.

Speaking of older music... I had taken all the CD's out of my truck here recently, but tonight I grabbed Dream Theatre's 'Images & Words' on my way out the door. I forgot what a great album it is.
I've gotta keep on the night schedule. I'll be preparing for sleep here soon. The past few hours have been Bowie, Ween, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, and good ol' Faith No More. Good times.
I love being on nights. The people are more laid back and cool to work with. There's no management staring over your shoulder every five seconds. Things are just nice. But damn, if I slip up and try to stay up all day, that screws up my sleep pattern something fierce.
Well I went in early this morning to get my sub plans done. I didn't feel like writing up sup plans mid-migraine. So, I am all done, getting ready to shut off my school computer and head back home for a day of dealing with sick kid and catching up with my coursework... and of course... posting here now and then.
yea.. Nights rule... just the rest of the world needs a little training to stay quiet while you sleep.
Like landscaping companies that show up every Wednesday and set up their blowers right next to my window? It's funny right now because it's Tuesday, but tomorrow will be a different story. If I had a walk in closet, I'd set the bed up in there just to isolate myself from them (and the sun).
I use to get them traveling religious groups that shall remain nameless, all the time when I was living in Tucson. I finally had to go smooth off and cuss to get the point across... I even put a sign on the door to say there was a day sleeper inside.... they could not read I guess.
