    Oh, been there. I was a straight razor shaver before I got started with the DEs and SEs recently. Have about 400 straights. Favorite razor is an Iwasaki Tamahagane 6/8.

    Awesome! I tend to be a bit outspoken.( I actually was called down about that earlier) but I really like just about everyone in this room. Have you ever been to Italy? It is on my list of places I would like to go.

    Interesting shave today from a new fangled thingie. I much prefer vintage as most know. This Starling was a gift. Today I did a shave that was requested by one of the few people that reply on my you tube videos. He wanted to see the Starling with Razo Rock Tobacco #1. I am always more then happy to use suggested equipment.( other then a gag). The shave from this razor is good. That is no surprise to folks here that know a razor is a razor. This one holds the blade tight and straight so it works good. I used the OC plate to play along with OCtember...and because I like OC razors. The end result with this one is the expected very high quality DFS.
