Very nice to see you're checking back in Danny. Missed seeing your projects and pot stirring (always in fun & good ways!). Hopefully the family duties continue to move towards less stressful, and the needed rest calms the heart and mind for remembering the better times. Can't wait to see and hear how that OC ATT plate and setup works on ~96 hours of growth!

I have enjoyed branching out which I think is the spirit of 30DC. I'll continue to try new things. I would never have tried SE razors without some encouragement. It's already been a long week. Spent the last 2 days in the hospital. My wife was in a lot of pain so we took her to the ER. Felt pretty silly taking her to the ER for what felt like bad gas. Well, it was a heart attack. The internet saved her life. I'm familiar with heart attack symptoms in men, but women tend to voice different complaints. Quick search of her symptoms and the results raised enough concern to take her in. She has very minimal damage because we had her in the ER within 2 hours of the onset of symptoms. In fact her EKG's are all normal. Feeling pretty blessed and thankful today. My wife and I are best friends with an easy, mostly conflict free marriage. Sure glad she's still in my life.
Oct 16th PAA PS - Tube 2.0 PAA SS - John Frum 2019 30DC jtspartan handle/Omega boar knot Friodur 5/8 PAA AS - John Frum 3 pass DFS+ Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements setup today. Blissful aroma & face feel, starting with PAA's Tube 2.0 pre-shave to get things moving. Jason's 30DC handle a joy to hold, the Omega knot with PAA's CK6 formulation creating a lather that checks every box of a top shelf lather for me. The Henkels Friodur, always a great shaver, smooth and sharp, just barely off of calling this a BBS shave. Finished with matching 'John Frum' AS & Cologne...a very pleasant musky (semi sweet & peppery) fragrance after the dry down. Easily passed the wifey approval test this morning. No experience with ATT products. Early on, I was making 'The List' for DE razors that I wanted. ATT was next after a couple vintage Gillettes and a Blackland Dart. Then I started having success w/open blades, and that obsession overshadowed all my DE purchases (along with lots of software ). Happy and thrilled for you and your wife, Evan. Nice save, literally. Doctors sometimes roll their eyes on internet self-research, and rightly so (when factoring in social media). But....educated and reasonable research should always be encouraged. No different than the generations having encyclopedia set(s) in their houses/bedrooms (thanks Mom and Dad!).
