    'CANADIAN' SKATE MAPLE SHAVING BRUSH
    Karve Shaving Co.

Badger hair is widely regarded as a premium and luxurious bristle media for shaving. Its backbone is stiff, yet resilient, which allows it whip any shaving soap into fine lather with little effort. The bristles also provide an exfoliating effect on the skin.

The handles are constructed from laminated maple, sourced from a local skateboard manufacturer. After turning, they are hand sanded and coated with polyurethane to ensure the wood is sealed.

The end of the handle is flat and the brush will stand on its own. Each handle is branded with a logo before the coating is applied.

    Brush specs:

  12. I'm seeing a lot of things (not just handles) made from discarded maple skate decks lately. Is there some sort of a buyback program for broken boards that I didn't know about as a kid? When I broke a deck it went into the fireplace, not to a brush factory. Where do these guys get all the broken boards from?
  13. Hi, I've sent an email to Chris at Karve Shaving Co.. I should have an answer soon. I will get back to you.

  14. The response from Chris at Karve is that they source the wood from the same place that skate board manufacturer does for their decks.
