    Thank you, Blair!
I would describe Gothique as a dark, bitter Fougére. This one would be an acquired taste but I love it!

    WSP Barbershop
    Myrsol Antesol
    Guerlain Habit Rouge

A change of hardware and software today. I will be using the Tatara Masamune OC for the next few days. I used it as delivered today. Tomorrow, I will switch out the top plate increasing the blade exposure. Up in rotation is my Paladin Vesuvius beehive. I love this brush both for the way it feels while face lathering and the way it looks. The Paladin whipped up the WSP Barbershop with ease. I do wish WSP used bigger containers. These small ones are pain to load and messy. Three passes and touch ups just missed the baby. One operator error resulted in a nick. A splash of Antesol and a spritz of Habit Rouge and I am off to fight Interstate 285. I hope everyone has a great Thursday.

Fine shave this morning with Clubman. I wish the shaving cream wouldn't ooze out like a worm or snake so much. Perhaps it's an indication of the way shaving creams in the 19th century operated. Yet it gets the job done. In the future, I might rotate use of the Clubman can and Grandpa's Barbershop soap(from Central Texas Soaps) with the Special Reserve(Clubman)and the Original, and do a few combinations among them("switchbacks" in mountain/lake trail "lingo). I thought I might have had a nick down around the Adam's Apple, but nothing came of it. The combination of softness&strength of this shaving cream comes quite close to what you get from a soap shave(IMO).

I was awake enough to not toss the brush in the basin after the first pass this morning. Two comfortable passes for a nice shave. Enjoy your day.

I watched the 90's tv series. BTW those moomin mugs are everywhere in finland. Avoid buying used ones, they can go for insane amounts of money.

    October 17 SOTD:

    Razor: Oneblade Core
    Blade: Feather FHS-10
    Brush: PAA Starcraft
    Lather: Oleo New City
    Aftershave: Oleo New City

We had a busy day yesterday, so I never got around to posting my shave, and I am behind by quite a bit again.

Today's shave was pretty special. I shaved in a new (to us) house, so I used a new razor. We closed on our house yesterday, which is why we were so busy, and we spent the night there last night. The kids basically slept on the floor, and my wife and I slept on a mattress that we ended up getting for the extra bedroom this house has. No chairs or furniture yet, as that comes Monday. It did feel nice to know we're aren't moving again anytime soon. I used the Oleo New City, which was as great as always. The razor definitely requires a little pressure as @clint64 has mentioned, and there is a little blade rattle as @jluc noted, but I ended with a two pass DFS that was very comfortable. So far the new razor is a winner. I hope everyone has a great day!
