To show what a great job he did, he emailed me before I got the Deluxe back about how corroded and slightly pitted the cap was under the patina. I never noticed before I sent it, I saw only old brass. But Chris worked very hard to even the surface out before plating. If you look closely you can see the slight dip or two. Now that's quality workmanship. Glad he's still in the business.

    Thank you Clint!

Thanks Jim! It was a moment of inspiration. I had used the pss several times prior. I think last time I scrubbed with my hand and saw some bubbles form. When the bar stuck to the lid it made application real easy. A quick agitation with the damp brush and face lather happened! I didn't wait to see how long it lingered, just rinsed out the brush and started working The Fat. Seems like there was still visible pss bubbles when I applied MWF over it.I am feeling the menthol cooling with the heavier coat of pss.

Got through the post till Thursday morning.
Danny's back and doing okay, his brothers Ok too. Nice to hear!
Forgive me if I don't remember which one had the heart problem and which one had the flu but I hope everybody is getting better, at least from what I read they are.
There's this there's this bubbly Bowl wandering around the post, odd-looking thing, but pretty.
Seems that Andrew has been getting busy, congratulations.
Reports are that some abuses coffee by adding compounds and liquids that have a tendency to undermine its flavor and aromas. Next time you desire to mix somthing into the black goodness, may I suggest whiskey, any Kentucky born spirits will do.
The usual test and procedures are being preformed on those who reach a certain age. Glad to hear the results are positive.
A few newer to the 30DC group are doing great, glad to have you, keep up the good work.
If I missed anyone I AM sorry, keeping up is a challenge to say the least.
Me, I'm just shaving along, at a constant RPM, with the radio on, my best girl by my side.
I like pictures and there were a few morning mugs appear in a post or two.
    The morning equipment is below...

My kettle that has heated water on open wood fires, gas fires and electric stoves.
My mug for the morning mud, with a warning for me, and now for all.
Don't take life to serious, it will all be over soon enough as it is.

    Great work gentlemen, wonderful shaves!
    to all
    Enjoy

You're welcome, and good question Daniel. Probably never , but if you want to satisfy that curiosity, maybe try a shavette next. It will get you used to the angle and feel needed for butterknife shaving. Lastly, DON'T get CAUGHT swiping said butterknife from drawer, especially if its from a matching set. Hope that helps in some way.

Great shave Jim, other than the lather wilting. The key word I picked out was ' rushed' . I never seem to get my best results when I dont take time.

I say Marco...you say Polo. Great scent and great setup Tom.
    Thank you Jim.

    Good evening, guys!
    Dovo Shavette Shave # 107
    Dovo Shavette
    Polsilver 1/2 DE (1)
    Rockwell Synthetic
    Stirling Satsuma SS and AS
    Nivea ASB not pictured
I know it's the fall, but I don't go by the season to determine my soap. Today, my Rocky help me make a nice face leather without blooming the soap. I decided to put a new blade in my shavette to start this shave after the previous blade had 8 shaves. That amounts to 16 shaves on a full DE blade. I wonder why I cant get sixteen shaves with a DE razor, but can get it on a shavette. Mmm! Anyway, 2.5 passes on a 33 hr stubble gave me a BBS shave without irritation. Got a weep on moustache doing the fool's pass, but disappeared with a cold water rinse. Applied the matching AS and then the Nivea ASB to complete the shave. I have to say this was one of my best shavette shaves using a new blade. The Satsuma scent really puts me in a good mood. Have a great night, guys! 20191018_165336.jpg 20191018_165336.jpg
