I know it's the fall, but I don't go by the season to determine my soap. Today, my Rocky help me make a nice face leather without blooming the soap. I decided to put a new blade in my shavette to start this shave after the previous blade had 8 shaves. That amounts to 16 shaves on a full DE blade. I wonder why I cant get sixteen shaves with a DE razor, but can get it on a shavette. Mmm! Anyway, 2.5 passes on a 33 hr stubble gave me a BBS shave without irritation. Got a weep on moustache doing the fool's pass, but disappeared with a cold water rinse. Applied the matching AS and then the Nivea ASB to complete the shave. Shave two with this razor, and it is a nice shaver. Two passes and DFS. What else is there to say? This is probably my favorite Stirling scent, but it is definitely a cool weather scent (and I normally don't line up scents with seasons). It was cool this morning at 4:30 when I left, so it worked well.

One question: has anyone else experienced issues with TSD today? I can't tell if it is this new IOS or the site.

I liked the shave although I liked the #54 better. The #34 is a little lighter and I found it a little difficult to find the proper shaving angle. My first pass WTG was smooth with no blade feel, and not very efficient and it left me with more stubble than I'm used to, <DFS. The second pass, XTG and again was a very smooth pass with absolutely no blade feel and DFS+. I don't and I'm not chasing BBS so I didn't feel I needed to do another pass. The MWF lather was very good on the first pass and perfect for the second pass - I didn't do anything, it just sat in my scuttle. I got a 2 pass, nick and weeper free shave. The alum was silent, even on my neck area which is unusual. I finished off with the Epsilon Blue A/S.

Overall, a really good shave. I have a few more French razors for my next few shaves.

The soap smells exactly the same to my nose, Rick. Yes, B&M does have multiples bases, and I find the Reserve base is a little more finicky than the older Glissant base. I have not tried anything in their new Excelsior base.

Super pic, Jim. I know what you mean- I don't line up scents by season either, but there are a few that just seem to work well at certain times.

Glad I got a smooth irritation free shave this morning. Re-org at work... I am a service operations manager today. After the reorg I will be leading a team called Center of Excellence in Operations. The teams charter will be to provide standard tools and best practices for other operations teams. Not sure I deserve to lead the experts of experts, but I'll be working with some of the most talented people in the company. I'm excited and terrified.

The bar has stuck to the top of the air tight container making a functional handle for rubbing the soap on my water splashed stubble. Out of curiosity I tried lathering with a damp brush. Success! I can use half the amount of PSS, too. Whipped up The Fat easily with the APShaveCo knot & applied it directly over the Stirling. With no blade in the 3pc OC, I had to make a choice. Our Cartel Leader has asked to have these particular blades sent to headquarters for disposal. Soon as I dull up the working edges I'll get right on that. I did get a comfy three pass with no damage despite The Pravda about those blades. The alum doesn't lie. Splash of the Indiana Jones cologne right before I got out for a short drive. Wouldn't you know that pesky antique store had an old razor that needed me to adopt it? Get a pre & post clean up photo to share between after school chauffeur duties.

My father is much the same. He's been using an Android tablet for years to play solitaire, buy Chinese stuff from Wish.com, and what ever else he's figured out. Then his Walmart phone company told him he HAD to upgrade to a smart phone because they wouldn't be supporting his old flip phone any longer. Withing days of getting the new phone on line he gave up on it. Too many options I guess. I cleared extra icons off, set several numbers in his Contacts, adjusted brightness and ring tones, but it just didn't make him happy. Maybe I need the 8 year old grand daughters give him some lessons?

I dont think new fangled technology is for everyone. I only started using texts after my teenage daughters pressured me to get with the times. I always believed phones were for talking on.

Reports are that some abuses coffee by adding compounds and liquids that have a tendency to undermine its flavor and aromas. Next time you desire to mix somthing into the black goodness, may I suggest whiskey, any Kentucky born spirits will do.
The usual test and procedures are being preformed on those who reach a certain age. Glad to hear the results are positive.
A few newer to the 30DC group are doing great, glad to have you, keep up the good work.
If I missed anyone I AM sorry, keeping up is a challenge to say the least.
Me, I'm just shaving along, at a constant RPM, with the radio on, my best girl by my side.
I like pictures and there were a few morning mugs appear in a post or two.
The morning equipment is below...

My mug for the morning mud, with a warning for me, and now for all.
Don't take life to serious, it will all be over soon enough as it is.
