Isn't that knot harvested from an Omega Pro #10098 boar? Those should be issued to every New Shaver.

 

Probably more a case of my newbie nose comparing SV FA to some of the artisan soaps I use more often. Several of them (PAA, WK, Stirling) usually scream their fragrance when you open the container, while others you’ll bring it up to your nose to find the scent, and a couple you almost have to wonder ‘what happened’.

Ok, I took the plunge! I bought my first bottle (6 oz) of Lilac Vegetal. As a kid, I remember getting my nape shaved by the barber and having that juice applied afterwards. I loved the smell and it lingered for awhile. I hope it hasn't changed much. I am not worried because I know that I am already chosen by LV. Lol!

 

The scent hasn't changed much to my nose.

Getting myself educated trying to determine a date on this recent find. Apparently Gillette moved the Date Code to the top of the base plate when they went plastic bottoms. Then they produce some "NDC Super Adjustable 109 PV". NDC for No Date Code, & PV for Plastic bottom plate, Vertical knurling. So this is somewhere between a '77 (X-1) and a '81 (B-4) with no way to pin down the actual year or quarter.

 

Yup on top of the 1,400 posts I was behind yesterday, an additional 200. I am hopelessly behind but I am still shaving. Here are my shaves since I returned to Seoul. Yesterday was an early day because I went to the hospital for my annual physical... a most unpleasant night preparing, so I used my Cobra Classic before I headed out to be poked and prodded.
