Okay, time for a serious moment from The Jim: Howdy fellow HYD'ers, I'd like to take a moment of your time to request your thoughts and prayers, for those who don't mind doing so. Tomorrow morning I'm taking my wife to Longview for a doctor appointment with a specialist. She's been having joint pains the past couple of months, kinda moving all around from knees one day, maybe elbows the next, ankles and back another...local dr. thinks possibly RA, but isn't sure. This all started with a cold back in January, then progressed to what was treated as strep (because of the knee pain), and has just progressively gotten worse. Believe it or not (I find it difficult to), May was the earliest possible time we could get an appointment from February. This has been a stressful time, amongst other things going on personally lately. I want to thank my HYD breth- & sisthren (?) on keeping me sane the past few months. But, tomorrow's the day, hopefully we'll find out something firm, but I doubt it, figuring they'll have to do tests and probably won't find out any results for several more weeks, but who knows. Through all the things going on, I know without a doubt that God is still in control, and all things work for the good of those who trust Him, even when we don't understand the what or the why. That should make things easier, and it does, but I'm still human and often times choose to stress and worry. Anyway, we'd appreciate your thoughts and prayers with us...thank you.
I'll see your "Toby Mac" and raise you one "Mack the Knife" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGdwQf2a0W0&feature=PlayList&p=C349699BE4647CC7&index=1
Jim, thoughts and prayers heading for Mrs. Jim and you now. Waiting to know can be the hardest part. We're here for you.
I will add Prayers and good vibes from the Hutch. If there is anything we can do to help you have to but ask.
Would go great with a bacon-pie aftershave and cologne! I'm thinking more Homer Simpson-ish. Ya know, you're smarter than people give you credit for. :happy102
I is edacated..... Hey used the redtip you sent me for the first time this morning. Not bad at all for a DE shave. Thanks again. Hows things up that way?
Just a little funny to set your evening straight with... http://www.mymodernmet.com/profiles/blogs/disney-star-wars-weekend
Very good! Thanks for asking. I thought the safety bar was bent on that razor. One side seemed to shave much more aggressively than the other- was I wrong?
Nothing a few good slaps with a mallet did not fix.. I tweeked it right after I got it. Seems to shave even.
very cool, I see potential desktop backgrounds (once the dang Disney crap is removed )(runs and hides from Jen, just in case she sees this...:ashamed001)
Glad to do it. I'll do the rough inventory and send it to both of you. Gotta figure out what to use for sample containers. Any thoughts? Saw that early this morning and almost wet myself. You couldn't make this stuff up... :happy102 Yep, short international carts. I'm sure I've got some around here, but they might still be packed. Let me know if you need some. WoooHooo!!!! Thanks, Fuzzy! :bounce017
Jim, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope hey finally have some answers for you and your wife has a speedy recovery.
Thank you both very much! It will be much easier to find them now that I know what they are. I appreciate the offer for samples. Is there a nice variety of these available? I got the kit today, and was surprised by the nib. I have no idea if it is nice or not, but I think it looks beautiful. It is labeled: "Iridium Tip Germany" And it came with a cartridge that looks like blue. I cut the blanks and drilled, I will glue tonight, and turn either tonight or tomorrow, and I should be in business. I am looking forward to trying it out!
Jim, I truly hope everything works out for your wife and it is nothing serious. The two of you will be in my thoughts, be sure to keep us updated. Nah Cal, both of the O/C1912's I received this week are ugly ducklings. The caps were a little loose on both also. I want Justin to try it out first before he makes any decision about trading for a Shave King. If he has any doubts at all about the trade, I just want him to consider it a gift.
