Nice injector shave this morning. As the den thinning continues, I’m on the fence about Stirling Ozark. The pine, woods, and firewood scent definitely feels like being in the woods in the fall, even if this tropical system is bringing humid, 90 degree air into South Florida. Having said that, I’m thinking of my wife’s words regarding some B&M scents that I explained “transport you to a place with the combination of scents”. Sniffing Roam, she responded “I think it’s really cool that they can do that, but I wouldn’t want to smell like that all day”. Hmm, something to think about. In the meantime, I smell like the woods.

Nice shave, Terry. Yes, those Flare Tips are nice shavers. I enjoyed mine for awhile and then sent it to my father-in-law with one of my brushes. He had never used a safety razor, just young enough to have a Trac 11 as a first razor.

Your original post and point is really interesting, though. There are some things I can’t for the life of me figure out why someone would want to smell like leaving the house- Gunpowder or Campfire scents come to mind right away. That being said, I like some earthy and woodsy scents that others probably feel the same way about.

 

Shiny Silver Saturday has a nice ring to it, Gary! Beautiful razor. Those New Deluxe and New Improved handles are just classics.

 

Thanks, Jason! Yeah, never really tried any blade that would be completely unusable, except Ladas. But it was from a bad batch, it wasn't sharpened properly.
That said, i haven't tried probably any chinese blades.

I love Clubman and i want to try the Veg, but i can't find any on this side of the pond.

That brush is just magnificent, Clint. The skill on that beehive matches the beautiful resin pour. Sounds like a lot of folks really enjoy those razors- Great enabling!
