I agree.

I like the Gunpowder and Spice soap, but I prefer PAA's Tombstone and Boomtown Bay Rum soaps in that scent category. I especially enjoy Tombstone. I do not have the Holy Black aftershave for the Gunpowder so I can't compare or comment.

Hi Paul. I have #9 which was the name before PAA rebranded it to Home on the Range. It is supposed to be the same product line. The scent is just like Hoppe's 9. I really like it and it is one of my favorite all time soaps. It is very different though and kind of just a novelty to most because it is based on a gun cleaner. If you like the smell of Hobbes, you should really like Home on the Range. From my personal preference, you can't go wrong with any of the three, but Home on the Range is by far the most unique and will appeal to fewer folks.

Interesting, thank you Steve. Doesn't the company LAYRITE have a Hoppes 9 item? I ask because I think I can get a Layrite locally. But my mind is still on the Home/Range.

I am not familiar with Layrite so I can't say. If you like guns and the scent of Hoppe's, you should dig Home on the Range. I need to check out Layrite. Thanks.
