  4. Great shave Rick!
Doesn't matter how it looks, if it shaves well it's a keeper. Some of my ugliest razors are the best razors by far.

  5. Hi all, good morning on another Wednesday I'm able to keep up here if I don't have 16 hour days. Hopefully today will be just 8 and go home.
Did another look alike shave, new blade in my Razorock Blackhawk V1 and all the trimmings. Can't get a better 2 pass shave with any other tool in the shed. The face is clean and smooth, the gord is the same!

    Blade: Personna PTFE (5)

    Pre-shave: Stirling Mentholated
    Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
    PAA Galactic witch hazel

    Good morning!

Excellent shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. A bit of warmth from the alum.

I use alum after every shave, mostly out of habit. I do like the skin tightening effect. I'm a pre-shower shaver so it always gets washed off.

    Have a great day! [IMG]

  17. SOTD October 23, 2019

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: vintage Schick Plus Platinum
    Razor: Schick J1
    Brush: JR #41 badger
    Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Post: Witch hazel, RazoRock Blue Barbershop aftershave

Nice shave again with The Fat. How do you soften up a stiff badger knot? Jayaruh reknotted this handle for me with a 2-band knot from Maggards. It's dense and stiff. Doesn't want to splay when face lathering. Do I just have to use it more?

Nice shave in the end. Enjoy your day!
