    Lovely picture, Perry!
I don't have an answer regarding the brush. I'm not sure if badgers change a whole lot with use. My most used badger probably has less than 50 uses so I can't speak from experience.
    Thank you, Perry!
I haven't tried any of the WSP aftershaves, only samples of the soap. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the aftershave.

    October 23 SOTD:

    Razor: Oneblade Core
    Blade: Feather FHS-10
    Brush: PAA Starcraft
    Lather: Tabac
    Aftershave: Tabac

A guy takes 4 or 5 days off and falls behind by about 1000 posts. There is no way I am going back to check on 1000 posts, so if please let me know if I missed anything. We spent the weekend messing with the house and our furniture and boxes showed up on Monday, so it was an active few days.

I found my Tabac yesterday, so I went with it this morning. After 5 days of growth, the Oneblade had a little work to do, and it did seem to work hard. I did my usual two passes, but I would rate this closer to a CCS. Still a good start to my day. I hope everyone has a great day!

Nice shave, Perry! I only have one badger brush and I just kept using it because it was pretty soft from the start. I would think you would have to do the same or use the same breaking in procedure as if it was a boar.

Thanks, Joe! I have several badgers and they are all nice and soft, but this one is stiff as nails.

Thank you Jason! Tom @twhite is quite the artist when he sculpts an aluminum billet. That knot was the closest I could find to an original style.
Thank you, Joseph! Sometimes, I'm concerned I use too many commas. It's an issue, especially with run on, descriptive sentences.
Thank Terry! I've had a couple of Slims, several Fat Boys other than the one I've kept, and a short handled Black Beauty. This dirty girl shaves well but I'll move it along for someone else to enjoy. The Traveling Box is headed my way!

Love the vintage vibe of the photo Perry. I would do a test lather either in the bowl or preferably in the palm. Actually press down on the knot while lathering to force it to splay. I would not suggest doing this on a regular basis but a time or two shouldn't matter.

Great photo and lineup Jim. Nice to hear the move in is underway with the furniture and boxes in the house. I can imagine the OneBlade was struggling with 5 days growth.

Gillette New SC with Triad Aristocrat Ti
    Gillette 7 O’clock Yellow
Rudy Vey Rover with TGN Finest
    Cold River Schapenmelk
    Dominica Grand Bay Rum Aftershave

Switching up the hardware a little. Back to the New SC for the next several days. I did change it up by using the Triad Aristocrat Ti handle. The little Rudy Vey brush with its TGN finest knot is certainly not cloud like. It has good backbone with the scritch to match. Face lathering the Cold River Schapenmelk soap was a pleasure. Three passes with touch ups and buffing my neck caught the baby. Just a first rate drama free shave. I decided to reward myself and double up on the Bay Rum. A splash of Dominica Grand Bay Rum AS followed by Krampert's was just the ticket. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.
