I noticed I have never put up a picture of the Pesonna GEM blades I buy. I get them 100 at a time, normally from Andrew @Linuxguile. They are nice, sharp and give a clean smooth shave.
All in all a 2 x 2 face & head shave that was not quite as good as the Blackhawk with the feather pro, the Blackhawk wins by a nose. Still a close no issue shave.

Good to see the MMOC getting some love Terry. I'm getting on average 5 head and face shaves out of those Gems before the tugginess feeling starts then I reuse them for cutting or scraping around the house.

Up early and in the office at 7 AM. Had to manage a network migration. Yes I still do actual work. Worked in Utah with a network engineer in Romania on a network in Ireland. She literally walked me through it keystroke by keystroke. A trained monkey could have done it with ease, so I only struggled a little.

Great shave with the MR41 only threatening me a little. Very close shave.

Welcome to Wednesday! Time to rotate razors and it's the New LC taking over from the SC Deluxe. This one has the Delta Echo finish on it and was my first ever win in a raffle here. I think I've said that already this month. Gotta be my age creeping up. I'll tell ya' - being 60 seems to be having an effect! A fresh Sharp Star to get that perfect edge and for the soap - it's Wednesday so it's a FAT day. The Stirling synthetic brush had no issues dealing with it.

Great lather and a perfect three passes to keep all of my blood on the inside, turn my face smooth as silk and keep the alum silent. I didn't weigh the Fat as I've decided to weigh it after the final shave with it this month then do the monthly figure. Hope you have a great Thursday!!

A fine shave occurred this morning with my trusty OCtober focus gear.

My Bride completed her first treatment today with no ill effects. It's early, so the nest few days should tell the story. It has been busy seeing doctors, getting things scheduled, and getting our questions answered over the last few days. Things are beginning to settle into a manageable routine. We're grateful for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers from everyone. Thank you all.

I managed to pull a "Charlie" this morning on the way to our treatment. I was not paying attention. I rushed out the back door into the garage in my socks, lost my balance on the bottom step, and fell onto the garage floor. I caught myself with my right arm and thankfully landed on a row of shoes that served to cushion the fall. It could have been much worse, but I think I sprained my wrist. Otherwise, I feel OK. I'm being encouraged to pay the doc a visit in the morning to get his verdict. The wrist is sore and stiff right now, but everything seems to be moving OK. I'm a lefty, so my shaves will not be compromised. I just won't be using my right hand for skin stretching for the next couple of days. I am more concerned that I can't eat ice cream with both hands.

I'm hopelessly behind on the thread with no hope of catching up. If someone can list the individual month-to-date purchases greater than $250 each, shaving accidents involving blood spillage greater than 2 gallons, new CT's awarded, and a list of current hot topics (bloom vs. no bloom, veg vs. tallow, country vs. western, Ky vs. St. Louis BBQ, two-sided thingy vs. one-sided thingy, etc.) that would be helpful. Also, if @Terry is using more than 5 new DE blades per shave, I'd like to know that as well. (Yes, without having any relevant/current information, I can stir the pot. )

34c with a Bic blade, two passes, not enough coffee, what can go wrong? Nothing apparently, as i got probably the most comfortable shave i've ever had with the Merkur. No nicks, weepers, irritation or any other problems. It wasn't the closest shave ive ever had, but still very close by my standards.

Good morning!

Fantastic shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. A little warmth from the alum on my neck.

Today's shave was with my first DE and brush. The Blackbird was my nemesis for months. That thing tore me up for awhile. We are now old friends. The Parker Silvertip was the only brush I had for the first few months. It's understuffed and pretty floppy. Didn't shed today though. Every brush purchased since has been better. That could be why I'm not overly particular about which brush I use each day.

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
Blade: vintage Personna twin
Razor: Schick L1
Brush: JR #41 badger
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Post: Witch hazel, Fine American Blend aftershave

Tried the stiff badger again with slightly better results. I think that brush needs more water. I'll keep working with it. Terrific shave overall.

Our football game was changed to tonight instead of Friday due to rain. Lots of games in our state were rescheduled for tonight to avoid the weather. Fine with me. Makes it a little hectic but it's a home game so we don't have to fool with buses and all of that.
