    One of my favorite parts in the movie is when little Ralphy reaches up and grabs the calf of the the leg lamp. Priceless!

    All of mine are a fabric on one side.

    Some people put stropping pastes on them, I don't.

    In the beginning, it was recommended to me 20 laps on cloth/linen then 40 on leather before shaving. I stick close to that.

    There are many options for strops. I saw a YouTube where someone used a carefully folded newspaper looped over a towel rack.

    I resisted the plates. I read more than one account of folks settling in on the middle one.

    I did order a pack of Prolines from Andrew @Linuxguile

    When I saw 3 left, it was a no brainer.
