Thank you, Clint! Glad the Speick worked well for you. It's a nice cream. I still have some of the splash and use it from time to time. A quiet, restful Friday night sounds really good about now.
I had that razor in the cart numerous times. My justification, sober... (1) I quit smoking almost exactly 5 years ago. The razor is about the cost of 1 carton of chokes. At 1 carton per week, I still have a remaining slush fund. (2) I have a birthday coming up and I'm so hard to shop for Bom bada Bing... Register goes kah-ching
Posting from the past. Apologies if these were already answered. Thanks Andrew. Took me a little reading to get that they didn't stamp the black plastic underside of the bottom plate. Then I looked in the top of the inside where it's metal - the adjuster plate. Some of these didn't get date stamped there either. Like very early Gillettes, there are some NDC Super Adjustables. There's a link in the second half of THIS comment. I've found Barbasol shave cream in the can benefits from the same treatment. I shoot it into a bowl, punch it down with a brush to reduce the fluff, and add water to my desired wetness.
I'd like to try some of that coffee. My lifetime is running short, but visiting Sweden is on a bucket list somewhere here.
Never tried Barbasol, but i'd guess most canned products would benefit from this. I do still have a few other cans of foam, Gillette and Bic, i might try the same with them too at some point. Or do some sort of weird superlathers with tubed creams and the canned ones.
You'd probably like the coffee! If you have a chance to visit Sweden, it's easy to check out Norway or Finland (or both!) on the same trip if there is enough time. You can just take a bus or a train from one country to another i think. But if you go to Sweden, you might want to avoid surströmming.
