I did not like the SS, I found the bumps at the cutting edge made it very difficult to get the angle and pressure correct. I think the DX shaves more like a traditional straight. Wow, now you speak Korea too! 감사합니다
325 posts behind. I woke up a little late and took my own advice, when in a hurry put down the straight razor and pick up a DE. Today was Tabac, my trusty 2011 R41 loaded with a Iridium Super.

Good morning, gents I decided to use my only open comb razor today, the Merkur 41c. It is a decent, mild razor, but every time i use it, i cut the mole on my face. Today i tried to avoid that area, and i did the touch-ups with my Weishi. But i still managed to scape the mole a bit, just enough to make it bleed. Oh well, nothing a little bit of alum wouldn't fix. Better take tomorrow off to let it heal properly. I used the Razor Masters pine tar scented soap, which performs well. But it didn't feel right. No menthol! I was going to use Clubman after the shave, but i had to grab my bottle of Skin Bracer instead. Two healthy splashes later i was happy. Have a nice day!
Well here it is finally Friday, good morning to everyone! Pulled out a super speed that I bought and cleaned up last week. 2 feather blades and some bay rum. Went 2 passes like normal and was satisfied with a nice shave. This razor is good and functional so I can lend out or trade it off. The thing looks good enough for a present to someone if that happens. The brush is my first attempt at rebuilding a brush. The knot is a 22mm synthetic from Maggard, I chose the color by scanning the web looking at other ones. The little thing works great. All in all a great start to the end of the work week! Edit.... The gord got a 2 pass too forgot to mention that, mostly because it the normal routine. All Enjoy! tp
