I just double checked and not one here. Just brass. I have had a few in the past until dropping and breaking. Nothing against them, but Gillette could have done more in releasing one of their own designs instead of slapping their name on a DE89 and up-charging. It makes sense but is pretty lazy.
@brit has you covered. The easiest way to identify the “Angel” is to look underneath the cap for the round post indentions instead of the squared or rectangular indentions. They are also nickel(I believe).
I like it, I'd like it more if they'd weight the hollow looking handle and brand the thing with their logo. I understand they turned to a known leader like muhle, softening the move through the more marketable edwin jagger, but to make the heritage recognizable, i think the run should be branded with the gillette diamond. Otherwise i can make that razor from parts i already own.
FYI HERE is more information and my initial observations of a pre-launch Gillette Heritage DE razor I received.
Thank you, Mark. There are lots of good solid facts from Gillette. It's amazing that they set up a conference call. It's nice to see they recognise a growth in the traditional shaving market which is something I've noticed over the last three years; the marketplace seems to have expanded a great deal. Nice review, I appreciate it. I'll post a link on Friendship Shaving.
Kinda wish the obvious question "is it a Muhle r89 head" was answered once and for all. Guess someone will do the side by side shortly. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

I know it should shave like an EJ89 (DE89), but would be nice for the collection. Also nice that the only thing made in China is the case.
