Hotel shave this morning. 3 great passes with this OT. Pulled out this cream for Menthol Monday and got the usual nice Palmolive lather. Perhaps a little thin on the 3rd pass, but this little Omega did its best.

Thanks guys, a couple of years ago they caught a lady a little north of here stealing flowers from graves and reselling them in her floral shop. I have heard of this happening before but it is just low down. Joseph you are right.....morality and decency is almost gone but there are a few bright spots still out there.

2.5 pass DFS+ The Wild West Brushworks handle w/Zenith boar accomplished wonderful slick face lather today. Wholly Kaw SS is from a BST with @Frijolero. Had to pull out an old favorite, the Friodur....2.5 smooth & easy passes with no shenanigans at all. WTG/XTG and then buffed the neck with an opposite XTG pass. Finished with more favorites, PAA Star Jelly (lightly mentholated) and AoS Oud Suede. Smooth shaven, smelling great and ready for a Monday!

Very busy week....will be following along as I can. Ready for a 'No Repeat November'.

I honed up one of my Henckels wedge blades over the weekend so I wanted to try it out on one my Henckels Rapide's for today's shave.

Bowl/Scuttle - GP12
Soap - MWF (it's Monday)
Brush - Alpha Titanium Outlaw Fanchurian
Blade - Henckels wedge (1)
Razor - Henckels Rapide
Post Shave - OSMA Pierre alum, Clubman Reserve Whiskey Woods

I'm working on my honing skill and technique. I'm not good yet. I haven't shaved since Thursday, I honed the wedge on Friday and wanted a few days growth before I shaved with the wedge. Today I did a 2 pass shave. First pass WTG I felt some tugging so my honing job was not good enough. Aside from the tugging, the first pass results were ok. The second pass was XTG and was a surprisingly smooth shave and results were surprisingly good, DFS overall with some BBS areas on my cheeks down to my jawline. So my honing is getting better but is not quite good enough yet. The MWF provided a nice slick lather for my face. Aside from the tugging, I got a 2 pass, nick and weeper free shave. The alum was almost silent, just a couple small areas of noise. I finished off with the Clubman Whiskey Woods A/S.

Overall, an pretty good shave. I think it's time to break out a couple of my current OC razors for the rest of OCtober.

Danny @Hembree , I'm so sorry to hear about the theft if your parents sprays.

Today I stayed home for two reasons. 1 the snow, looks about 5 inches now and it's still snowing. And 2 our water heater went out last night so I had to get a new one installed this morning. Luckily I saved so much money on wet shaving that the savings practically paid for the whole thing. .

Hopefully I'll be able to post my morning (cold water) shave in a few when the boys go down for their nap.

Jury's still out. Alum didn't scream do I'll possibly try it again. The Wholly Kay is ...interesting. First impression is candied leather. Sweet, but other things going on, too. Their website says,"Leather Suede blended with Cardamom, Vanilla, Tobacco notes. Oud, and Bourbon" I think I like it. It's from The Box so I can test it again and choose withing the week.

Another really good shave with mostly Timeless products. I really like the Pineapple Handle (@TommyCarioca) .
It fits the hand well while providing good balance to the head. The Nathan Clark brush is outstanding. It has good weight and probably the best knot in the business, the Envy White. This knot was brought to my attention by Clint @clint64. Also known as Amigo. The Timeless bowl is also a great shaving product. The Floid Vigoroso is a high quality old time aftershave IMO.

Walked 9 holes today. Shot 55, but I walked 9 holes.

I normally don't shave with an under 30 hr stubble, but I decided to do so because I may be called into work tomorrow. Also, I want to end this month with 115 shavette shaves under my belt because I will be doing a 30 shave with the same straight razor challenge starting next month and want to be 5 shavette shaves ahead of my total straight razor shaves (110). Anyway, I decided to have a real extra wet lather for my shave. Did my 2.5 passes to get a BBS shave without any mistakes. Finished with the aftershave and the Nivea ASB. It is possible to have dual citizenship, sadly it is having the US citizenship and living overseas that is making my life very difficult.

Using some great Open Comb razors but no Fat. Something else on that end.

Open Combs and the Fat on Tuesday/Thursday - just to be difficult.

Still gonna shave with straights!

Whatever I choose because I just roll that way!
