  4. Smile, I just received this smiling 20 layer Damascus from Drew Dick. She is 7/8 and half hollow. The edge is very smooth but I think I will do a quick touch up as like that laser sharp feeling.

  17. October 29

I fixed a young man up today with a Gillette Tech, Stirling Haverford (soap and aftershave), Tabac, and some Voskhod blades. He already has a boar brush, so he's good to go. He was super excited. I'm having as much fun these days helping other guys get started in the hobby than just about anything else.

I still haven't decided to get my Gillette Old type and Aristocrat re-plated. I'm on the fence and not really in a hurry.

I have been shopping the deals on a Feather Artist Club DX kamisori style shavette. I have an Feather AC SS folder, but I'd really like a DX. This may be my Black Friday/Cyber Monday splurge.

I've made a couple of Stirling orders recently (who hasn't 'round these parts?). I now have some Stirling Executive Man to go with my Blood on Steel. In doing so, I've picked up a good supply of bar soap and body lotion to try out.

I'm still shaving with my OCtober focus gear...although I did a hurried shower shave this morning with a four-bladed thingy. Does anyone have a loofah recommendation? ;)

I'm almost finished with my container of T&H Sandalwood cream. Not sure what I'll move onto next. I'm also powering through a bottle of Floid Vigoroso (good stuff, but I probably won't buy it in a gallon jug next time...sorta hard to handle and I'm always afraid I'll drop it.) I'm also working through a bottle of cologne that I've had for too long and toying with the idea of replacing it with a bottle Creed Aventus. I found the best prices on a place across the pond.

    I had ice cream today.

My wrist is much better, but still a little sore at times. High fives with kindergarteners are tolerable, but manly, testosterone-fueled, vice grip hand shakes still provide a small jolt.

I guess that's about it for now. Hope all is well! Things are becoming a little more routine again, and I'm starting to poke my head back in every so often.
