Good morning, Joe. I hope you're in equilibrium today. Things are steady state down my way. Even though I joke about being a hillbilly, my Bride has always called me a city slicker. And she's correct. She grew up on a farm, and I grew up in the city. I bragged once (well, maybe more than that) that some guys dress in camo, let the beards grow out, sit in tree stands, and hunt deer on the weekends, while real men like me go into the bathroom to get baby smooth shaves and try out new face washes, soaps, aftershaves, and colognes. She suggested that maybe I should keep that to myself.
10/30/2019 RazoRock 400 Noir Plissoft Synthetic Shaving Brush Timeless Shaving Bowl RazoRock WTP Lime Burst Above the Tie Aluminum Top Plate, Calypso Handle with Gillette New LC Plate Feather Blade Nivea Post Balm Pinaud Clubman Classic I had very interesting shave with an oldie blended with the modern. The New LC plate works great with the Above the Tie top plate and makes for a very smooth and great shave. There has been a lot of love shown lately on the 30DC group with the New LCs and there is a reason for that……just great razors! The WTP soap was awesome this morning and this was just a nice, solid and fun shave. Hope everyone has a great hump day!
It will probably warm up quick. Post a few pictures and let us ride along. I could not remember if I had mentioned it. Just so much stuff going on. I hope I can start working on it in a couple of weeks. I'll try to keep you updated and if you would like I'll send the carbs to you to rebuild.
What a day, Rick! Glad things are back under control. Is anything with electronics supposed to be repaired these days? Good on you for getting creative with stuff in your handyman stash. Please tell me you didn't skip the soft ice cream. I'm all thumbs, but I really enjoy watching skilled hands bring worn out or broken things back to life. Sometimes I'll kick back and watch this gent re-craft a pair of old shoes. He's shooting the breeze with you all through the job like you're there hanging out with him. His tools are spread out all over the place like a real workshop, his compressor starts randomly, and sometimes his dog makes an appearance. After you've watched a few of his videos, you'll even understand the inside jokes. Every now and then, he'll pour himself a cup of Lebanese coffee. Seems like a good guy. I always take a deep breath when I see him pulling a box cutter toward his body with all his strength while he cuts the threads off an old pair of soles.
Thank you, Danny. I sincerely appreciate the prayers. She's actually doing great, and we Praise the Lord for it. She takes meds at home every day, and we're going to see the doc for a treatment in his office today. She goes in 3 out of every 4 weeks. We'll be doing blood tests weekly to monitor her progress. Our doc is giving her "the whole enchildada," and his goal is to put her in remission. We even have a couple of trips scheduled. On one of the longer trips, we even found a local hospital that can provide her treatments. The Lord has been very good to us.
