As I mentioned a few weeks ago my plan for November is Nostalgic November. During the month I will only use vintage razors. It's been a while since I've used an Injector so I decided to go with one of my non-prototype unicorns, the Type F. It already had a blade in it so I proceeded to make a very wet, fling across the room, lather out of the MLS Drunken Goat. What a great scent, I will be sad when this tub gets all used up. Put the razor to my face and I could tell that it had a Personna blade in it. Checking the archive confirmed my suspicion. While the blade is sharp enough to get the job done it just doesn't provide that buttery smoothness and effortless cutting action that you get with a Schick blade. Finished with light application of B&M Night Music AS (because it really packs a punch) for a chocolaty, musky finish! Have a great day my friends

The S1 is a very smooth razor but I find it to have a narrow sweet spot. Once I got it dialed in it has given nothing but excellent shaves.

 

Is that a nearly empty jar of cream? I thought standard procedure was to switch to something else and never quite finish. Nice Shave!

good morning gents..friday it is ..loaded a platinum blade into this peach of an aristocrat.fine shaver..the opal lathered the murphy and mcneil en mass..fabulous 2+ pass near bbs.no drama.been wanting to use this 'crat for a while..gael laoch aftershave to finish..awesome..still planning the NO repeat november,some brushes will have to make an encore appearance as i only have 20 ish..razors and soaps covered.but still may bring back a razor or so just because i like it....have a fine friday everyone..

 

Thanks Jim! Logan had a blast trick or treating around the office. I was lucky enough to score that Type F on a batch of razors from Adam @Drygulch . I sold the rest in my shop but cherry-picked the F for myself.

I love The Drunken Goat as well. MLS declined to sell their recipes to leave the option open for reopening. I guess we can hope. I managed to pick up the last jar WCS had... It was only about 3/4 as full as the previous jar I purchased. I wonder if I got the scrapings from their last batch.

Nice razor!

The saddest part of No Repeat is getting to use a favorite and then saying goodbye for a few weeks.
