glad you are enjoying the open blades..my current collecting habits made me see the light, hence the reluctance to try much else.. will get a couple more schicks but thats all thats planned.i do respect the learning curve of open blades, their upkeep and those whom partake in such.i view some of them as beautiful art.happy shaves Joe..

I’m going to try and use a different razor, soap, aftershave and to a lesser extent, blade and brush for every shave in November.

Thanks Danny! It was just a little more exciting than I prefer. Real horror show but I'm never gonna stop!

Thanks for that Joe! This was a "haven't used it for a while, poked myself with the toe end of the blade" issue. I like the handle on this Feather type clone. Fits my hand I can feel the angle well. I hadn't started the stroke yet. Simple set down error. I ought to mute the toe & heel of new blades to keep my juice internal.
Thanks Andrew! I could give you a list of the participants, but that's history. I just might keep this one as it's softer than a boar, my preference. The rest of my synths are marshmallow soft.
Thank you Clint! Glad you got to break away for a pleasant and safe ride. Clear and cool? Wearing your leathers?
That's good stuff Joe! keep your eyes open for some vintage Shulton Old Spice AS or cologne. It's a just right scent match from Stirling Soap Company.

Thanks Jim! Nice thing about this shavette - the blade doesn't stick out too far. Hardly felt it! Mine is not the "beginner" model with covered tips. The post shave products are reminding me it's there, but withing 3 or 4 minutes and one bit of absorbent paper it was sealed up.
Thank Jim! It's these exciting shaves that provide reasons to learn. Relearn. Remember not to poke thyself. I may keep the shavette in rotation since it does shave well when handled correctly.
I found comfort zone cabinet space got crowded. That's when you begin the overflow box in a closet, or start sorting and passing software to others. And now there's room for more products!

It’s clear and cold. No leathers now. I have a set of Kevlar pants and jacket. With a heated liner and gloves I will be good for tomorrow morning’s low of 22

I think you are on to something concerning blunting the blades at the toe and heel.
I haven't seen any vintage Shulton Old Spice on any of the sites. I think if anything appears, then it is gobbled up (hey, I am in a Thanksgiving frame of mind) right away.
