    madmedic Resistance Is Futile

If memory serves me correctly.....it should do. On this occasion I can neither confirm or deny!. Since last Tuesday I have been suffering from 'full blown' 'Flu. After many days of typical flu symptoms things have eased off and since yesterday I just have a chest infection and severe congestion.. I can smell absolutely nothing and that was my first use of that particular Wickham Soap. I do however know that it pairs beautifully with other Leather Soaps such as P&B Spitfire

Tomorrow I will test this razor with a titanium handle for comparison.

    Sunday morning shave 11/3/19
    Brush: Shore Shave 24mm synthetic
    Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic TTO
    Blade: Wilkinson Sword
Soap and aftershave: Razorock Tuscan Oud

Today was my first shave with the WS TTO, it is in my opinion a very good razor. BBS in 3 passes with 1 or 2 tiny nicks (possibly due to the blade). My only gripe is that the handle is very long thus is a challenge to keep the razor balanced and at the correct angle. I normally prefer a shorter handle. All in all a good shave.

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Colgate Mug Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #30RS Badger Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the 1907 Gem Jr. Lather Catcher razor with a Vintage Gem Cutlery SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Lucky Tiger AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Sunday morning:

    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Super Speed/7 AM day 7
    Phoenix & Beau Albion SS
    Fino ASB
    Aqua Velva Sport AS Splash

Surprise, surprise, surprise, I was expecting the 7 AM blade to die out during my first pass but it kept on going - now that’s what I call loyalty. It earned its retirement after a week of great service, and I’ll replace it tomorrow morning. The Albion soap which my good friend Tony sent me in a PIF has some of the thickest, densest lather I ever experienced, its scent profile is bergamot, lavender, and grapefruit, but I find the lavender dominates in a lovely way. The Fino balm went on with great soothing as well as moisturizing, and the Aqua Velva Sport’s scent is starting to grow on me - at first I had some doubts about it but now I can say I like it. A very good BBS shave from just two passes.

    Have a nice Sunday![IMG]

DFS today before going to a Veterans lunch/dinner at the Canadian Legion. As a member of the American Legion we have the same rights and privileges as Canadian Legion members. The same applies to Canadian Legion members in America. I am the only Marine and Vietnam Veteran that attends this function. I is my duty to make America proud.

This is an amazing array of shaving products. I am a big fan of Bay Rum, Ogallala is one of the best IMO. The SOC Badger/Boar brush is fantastic. It whips up and outstanding lather in light speed time even when bowl lathering. Okay light speed is an exaggeration :) but is a good brush.
This Scuttle is outstanding I don't use it enough. Here is a little about the scuttle. Maybe more than a little. :)

Created expressly for our valued customers, fellow Canadian Junichi Tanaka handcrafts this Artisanal Shaving Scuttle for creamy, warm lather every time you shave. Painstakingly fashioned from the fusion of the outer hot water chamber, filled through the spout, and the soap whipping insert, the final product is a single piece, glazed with the potter’s signature Smoky Celadon Glaze. Exceptional care is taken in the crafting, from the special Alberta sourced clay, through the intricate shaping process of both bowls and their integration together, to the slow firing and cooling that takes at least six days. The texture of the insert works with you to make dreamy, creamy lather to lavish upon the face in anticipation of a spectacular warm and wet shave. Each piece is unique and each is highly recommended as a remarkable shaving tool and a work of art.

Mr. Junichi Tanaka is a gifted and visionary ceramic artist from Whonnock, British Columbia. After experiencing his command of the art we at Fendrihan commissioned a Shaving Scuttle, and believe you will be as captivated as we by his mastery of the design and its exquisite execution. Order your masterpiece online at Fendrihan, the Canadian custom-made shaving store.

A beautiful rainy day welcomed me back from holidays: the night before leaving St. Maxime the sky seemed to announce a change in weather (The picture, obviously, has not been shot by me...).

I hate taking holidays in November to ger an April weather!

Today I tried a new soap, a present from a friend who took a trip to Sardinia: no tallow but a very protective lather and an outstanding post.
Its perfume it is not the more suitsble for present season though!
