I am going to try to have all the products in my posts this month from the same company. I'll do my best, however, I have to include some that are different just because some company's only make one item.

DFS today before going to a Veterans lunch/dinner at the Canadian Legion. As a member of the American Legion we have the same rights and privileges as Canadian Legion members. The same applies to Canadian Legion members in America. I am the only Marine and Vietnam Veteran that attends this function. I is my duty to make America proud.

This is an amazing array of shaving products. I am a big fan of Bay Rum, Ogallala is one of the best IMO. The SOC Badger/Boar brush is fantastic. It whips up and outstanding lather in light speed time even when bowl lathering. Okay light speed is an exaggeration but is a good brush.
This Scuttle is outstanding I don't use it enough. Here is a little about the scuttle. Maybe more than a little.

Well, a better shave this morning than yesterday. I had mostly the same products, except for the brush-went with the Jayaruh#59. I still left a little stubble on the right cheek area, but not as much as yesterday. I think(hope)that when I can take normal showers again(should be beginning next Tuesday, as the plumbing crew comes tomorrow), I'll have better shaves, as I will use more soap power to prep. The Central Texas Soaps puck has some suds action going!!! Always nice to see.

I really like RedTips and I have several. Seems I am more comfortable using a classic when I know I have a spare. So, you'll see multiple RedTips in my SOTD reports this month. Great shave! I love the Voskhod blades in aggressive razors. Smooth without nics and irritation.

First shave with the new water heater. Only set off the smoke alarm twice while soldering fittings.

Today starts my 30 straight razor challenge! I will be using the same razor and setup 30 consecutive shaves. This is my very first rule as a member of the 30DC. I chose it because I want to determine how well I strop and also honed this razor. This is the 3rd shave since I honed this razor about 3months ago. I also want to break in the Stirling brush because it is still stiff.
I whipped up a nice, wet lather and the Sandalwood scent really kicked up. I could have done one pass with this razor for a DFS, but I never do it. Finished the shave with a nice, smooth comfortable shave without any irritation. Got a tiny cut on the top of my ear with the toe while landing , but stopped without my intervention. Applied the Sandalwood aftershave and Nivea balm to end this morning's grooming ritual. One down, 29 more to go! Have a great day, guys! View attachment 209340 View attachment 209340

I finished up the container of Truefitt & Hill Sandalwood cream this morning. It was a top-notch English shave cream with a very pleasant, although light, Sandalwood scent. I'd definitely consider this one again for re-purchase. I will eventually revisit Taylor of Old Bond Street Sandalwood for comparison purposes. I suspect it may edge out T&H simply due to price.

In my overall effort to consolidate inventory to a few favorites, I'm also powering through a large bottle of Floid Vigoroso aftershave and a bottle of Ermenegildo Zegna Uomo EdT. Both juices have roots in Italy, and they work well (for me) when applied together. Both containers are half empty. I should finish them both around year-end.

I've been enjoying three-pass shaves the past few days with no ill effects. I usually have to stop at two passes plus touch ups. The OCtober setup has treated me exceptionally well. I'll stick with it a few more days and then move to my birth year Gillette Fat Boy and a different brush.

I plan to alternate between two new pucks of soap until they are used up: Mike's Natural Soaps Hungarian Lavender and JabonMan Eufros Tierra Húmeda (translated as moist soil or wet earth ... "scented with musky Earth, rainy, moist, fallen trees, and moss" according to West Coast Shaving's website). I have high expectations for both soaps, and they'll get an extensive side-by-side comparison in the next few months.

I left NC earlier this morning since wanted to get home and see Swati before she left for a week long meeting. @jtspartan It's a team building meeting. Better her than me. After seeing her off I decided to get in a late afternoon shave. The Brad Sears Disco whipped up the Speick Shave cream with ease. Three passes with no touch ups ended in a DFS. The blade is toast so no chasing the baby. The Speck shave cream is done and dusted. I have really enjoyed using the Speick cream. Thanks @PLAla Perry for giving me the chance to it. I hope everyone has great day.

This is the 2nd shave for my 30 consecutive straight razor challenge. As a reminder, I will be using the same straight, the same soap and aftershave as well as the same brush for 30 consecutive shaves. I made a nice voluminous lather with my Stirling brush for at least 4 passes. I only needed two passes to get an IBSS+. I was so satisfied with the shave that I didn't chase the baby. I have to say that I am impressed with how sharp this blade is ever since I honed it with films. I thought I nicked myself so I hit the areas with styptic. It stung, but I didn't get any blood, nor irritation. Applied the matching aftershave and there wasn't any burning whatsoever. Finished with the Nivea ASB.
