This site is awesome. Everything I tried out for my third shave with a DE I got from reading posts here! I had spare time Sunday morning so I used much of it with slow, small strokes and cleaning my blade often. As I had a bad razor burn on my first shave and a little less razor burn on my second, I wanted to try and reduce, or even eliminate, razor burn as much as possible. I shaved while taking a shower this time and went a little crazy with Aloe Vera in that I reapplied it to my face and neck after I completed shaving in each direction (with the grain, against the grain across the face and neck). This worked out great! Though not the closest shave of the three, but close enough and, I had very little razor burn!

Just a couple thoughts....3 days for my facial hair starts to get a little tough with any razor. Gotta be careful for the same reason, irritation/raw spots (neck usually). 24-48 hours is pretty comfortable with any sharp straight, as long as the shaving cream is up to the task. For me, I've started thinking/separating shaving soaps & creams into 2 categories 1) almost anything will work for a DE shave (TTT), and then there's those that are slick enough to straight razor shave comfortably.

Very cool Terry! You're the alarm clock in your house too? I've found the easiest way to do that AND keep everybody happy is to start cooking bacon....

Very cool, Blair. You are rightfully very proud. What a wonderful opportunity for your daughter and the other students.
Music is very important in our house as well. I'm not sure if you knew this, but my wife is a School Band Director. She ran a high school program for several years and had a lot of success. She then started having kids (the good news is they look more like her than me...) and we moved communities as well. She gave up her position to stay home with the kids for 5 years and got lucky in that when she wanted to go back to work, a middle school band job opened up here. She has 244 students in her middle school band and is very successful again.

I only have the Polar Ice. I made it a little more Polar and a lot more Icy...
