Tonight's shave: I-2 Slim set on 7 with a new Voskhod blade(1). First time using this blade. WOW! Stirling Executive Man soap. First time using this soap. WOW! Semogue 830 WOW! Dollar Store Witch Hazel with Tea Tree Oil. WOW! Stirling Executive Man A/S splash. WOW! After a couple of test lathers with the new soap, I jumped in and naturally I got it too thin but it was still a beautiful shave. Who needs butter-cream to shave with? I got 3 good slick passes and my trouble spots were almost taken out with the 3rd pass. I was kinda surprised about that. The Slim and that blade are a good match for each other but then I think scrap iron in that razor would work. Since I'm working with Stirling samples, I went kinda easy on the A/S but there was no burn in it. I've got 3 other samples of Stirling and if I can get the lathering straightened out, I'm thinking it may be time to order the big boy sizes because I think it may just be that good.
thank you JD..this razor has a slightly more efficient character than the regular flat bottom techs ,a little more gap and safety bar grooving is different.my more worn out one is broken in like a pair of comfy boots.was well loved by its first owner..fantastic shaver..will use that one tomorrow..
