Well I tried, I really did try!
But when the mailman delivered a couple goodies, what's a guy to do???
Received the after shave that goes with my Razorock Mudder Focker soap in the mail Monday, so I showed restraint for a whole 48 hours.
Using a 7'Oclock Yellow blade this morning and I got about the same results. I say about because I rode the cap just a little more and that helped with the first pass roughness. Not entirely sweet, but enough to make a difference.
The RR MF is a good soap, not as slick as some, but they cost 2 to 3 times as much.
On of the first soaps I really liked, before the first Stirling order.
The first pass was good, second pass went well and the witch hazel clean up pass was almost not necessary. The head shave was about the same, 2 passes with a fuzzy style clean up, like the mug, it's clean and smooth.

Well tomorrow we'll see what else was in the Monday package.

Excellent shave, Terry! I am expecting a delivery of my Stirling order tomorrow. I can't use them until my 30 shave rule is complete. Estimated completion date is mid-December!

My, my what a day. Was it Monday?? No? Tuesday?? Really??? Felt like Monday, several times over. Definitely time to shave and relax. I moved from the flare tip Super Speed over to the 1947 that I had replated after purchasing it. Definitely a beautiful razor and just a bit different from the later Flare Tip models. The '47 is a bit more aggressive but still a Super Speed. I paired it with an Asco Super Stainless blade. These are made by Lord in Egypt. Lord, of course, was a British company back in the day and actually remain so. They just relocated to Egypt when the Empire expanded. Some Lord blades are quite good, some not so much. Asco is one of the surprising blades because it works well in spite of being a mid-tier blade, in my opinion. It sings like a carbon but has a very smooth feel, though not as smooth as some.

I chose Tabac to get at least one Tabac Tuesday in this month along with the JR46. Fantastic lather and a fantastic three pass shave to wind down the day. I'm now very relaxed, the baby is in the house and all is right with the world again. Have a great day out there tomorrow!

I've used Godrej in a hard soap puck, but this fresh lime scented smells much better. Not a sweet candied, much more essential oil, fresh peeled fruit flavored. Easy to lather too, being a cream. An almond sized application in the moistened bowl and agitated with the dense badger knot in Steve's @Vlasta early run of R-400 type handles gave plenty of lather. I moved the Feather blade from the #195, guessing it's already had at least two uses. Plenty of sharp left for this shave getting in three full passes & just a little touch up. I'd like to develop the ability to do a two pass shave even if it means changing blades more often. Supposed to be teaching Technique here so I've set that as a goal. I did finish with a very close & comfortable error free reduction. Alum was not fussing, didn't knock the scab off my neck wound from a couple days ago. The cologne went well with the Godrej. Neither are sweet scents, and the musk carries when the lime fades.

Good morning, gents!
Still sticking with the Tabac. I paid more attention to pressure, but i don't think yesterdays weepers were because of it, i'd guess i failed to stretch the skin enough. Reopened one of them, but no irritation or other issues besides that. I'm missing all the fun with menthol though, but i guess i can od on it next month.

Post: Witch hazel, Jeeves of Hudson Street Black Tea aftershave

Two little pesky weepers on my chin but otherwise a nice shave. Outstanding lather from the Soap Commander Influence and a nice finish from the Jeeves splash.

Another busy day at work. Actually this whole week is busy, but a three day weekend is approaching. Enjoy your day!

The NO75 is the smoothest shaving razor I own. It's like wiping the lather off my face with the back of a spoon yet taking all the 24hr stubble with it.
