Nice shave, Terry! It is my understanding that the scent of XXX is similar to Stirling's Piacenza.

    SOTD:
I apologise for not posting any shave of the day posts over the last two weeks, college was hectic because of test week, but all my shaves over the last few weeks have either been with bundubeard Coffee, col conk lime, or arko.

At the beginning of the month i switched out my uk made super speed for my Wilkinson sword tto long handle, what a fantastic razor! All my shaves were also with the same feather blade now on its 32nd shave.

Because ive decided against doing no shave November this year, ive decided to make this my budget shave month where ill be using blades as long as i possibly can, and only my cheapest soaps and a single razor.

Usually I load my brushes for 20 seconds with most soaps but i need to load for 30 with the col conk lime since its a smaller puck, so less is in contact with the brush.

    Shave 1:
Razor: Wilkinson sword classic tto long handle
    Blade: feather hi-stainless (31)
    Brush: Omega 49
    Soap: arko shave stick
    Aftershave balm: prep

    Shave 2:

Razor: Wilkinson sword classic tto long handle
    Blade: feather hi-stainless (32)
    Brush: Wilkinson sword classic
    Soap: col conk lime
    Aftershave balm: prep

Broke out my Gem Micromatic Clogpruf this morning. It delivered a decent two pass face shave. Did not use it for my daily dome shave. Rake style razors and the back of my head don’t tend to do so well. My Vector delivered its usual effortless, BBS noggin scrape.

    SOTD 11/07/19

    RAZOR: Gem Micromatic Clogpruf
    BLADE: Pella SS PTFE Gem
PRESHAVE: Cold water rinse followed by PAA’s Charcoal-Menthol preshave soap
    BRUSH: WCS Best Badger
    CREAM: Proraso Menthol
POSTSHAVE: Thayers Lavender Witch Hazel followed by Old Spice Fresh Lime

    Good morning! DSC_0689.JPG
1,5 passes, quite uneventful actually. The blade tugged a bit, so i'll use a new one on my next shave. I dropped the Nivea from the lineup, don't know if it counts as a fail. Feels just like it wasn't doing anything, so why use it? Now the air is so dry over here, that i need thicker moisturisers.

    Have a nice day!

The new player today was the Ranger Tech. Everything else is a rerun.
Not sure how many shaves I have on the Light Brigade, but it's still smooth. I can tell that it is
requiring more strokes to remove the same amount of stubble.

There are only two brushes remaining in my den that I don't mind really scrubbing,
this Rubberset and my CH2 Synthetic. There is something satisfying about a good scrub.
I figure I can always re-knot the Rubberset and the Simpson seems indestructible.
Usual three passes resulting in a DFS+++
Lots of "baby", but a few areas of, what would be a failed cotton ball test. Oh well.
Ask me if I care...go on ask. :signs002:
While the bottle of the SMST is fun to look at, it's a royal PITA to dispense out of.
I received a new bottle of this lovely juice yesterday and I am happy that Derby City
has decided to modify the bottle to a normal pour. Although they included an eye dropper along with the AS.
If they think Primo is going to use an eyedropper to dispense his AS...

    Thank you, Clint!
    Wonderful picture, Jim!
    Thank you, Joe!
My fault though. Once I went over those areas at the proper angle the whiskers were gone.
    Thanks, Daniel!
Nice theme for the month, Matthew!
Great shave with two great razors, Jeff!
    Lovely, Daniel!

    SOTD November 7, 2019

Prep: Cold water and PAA Cube pre-shave soap
    Blade: vintage Schick Plus Platinum
    Razor: PAL Adjustable
    Brush: Ever Ready 100T badger
Soap: Country Club for Men Barnstormer
Post: Witch hazel, Country Club for Men Modern Fougere aftershave

Nice shave with this Alabama Awesome combination. Barnstormer soap is supposed to smell like Stetson, but I'm afraid it lost its scent along the way. This tub is probably three or four years old at this point. The lather was exceptional, however, so no complaints there. Country Club for Men was based in Birmingham but has since closed and rebranded into Mad Yak Outfitters. He was making bath soaps and beard oils and other products the last I heard. Too bad for us because his shave products were outstanding.

    Enjoy your day!

    Mike’s Hungarian Lavender
    Fine Lavender Aftershave

Up and moving this morning with a bit less drama. Mike's Lavender smells fantastic and works even better than it smells. I did change out the top plate of the razor to the Nodachi top plate. This kept the blade gap the same but increased blade exposure. I loaded the razor with a fresh Feather blade and went with three passes and touch ups along the jawline and neck. A drama free smooth BBS shave. I really like this combo. A splash of Fine Lavender and I am off to fight Atlanta traffic along I-285. This should be fun. I hope everyone has a great Thursday.
