@PLAla, thanks for the like. I signed on to that Just 4 Him site(based on your mention of it, but I won't bring that up). What items do you have from there? I'm interested in a few of the aftershaves.

Lot going on yesterday...not much time for TSD reading. Just the way it works sometimes. Slowly catching up. Thanks everyone for the comments on my morning post!

@jtspartan Short version, I thought I had back in the summer...but not finding it. Give me DuckDuckGo or a web search....I can find about anything. Forum search...nada.

Here is CF's official info for 1445:

"Commemorating the year that the title was bestowed upon the first Lord Forbes, this is a very aristocratic fougere giving the wearer the assurance of a ‘freshly bathed’ scent enduring throughout the day, It is distinctly British. With fresh notes of ferns and grasses, this light and timeless fragrance is truly clean, balanced by fusion of lavender, tarragon, lemon and bitter orange. A spicy base of vetiver is the perfect support for the lighter green and citrus notes which open the fragrance."

1445 is the opposite of the CF Lime. CF Lime jumps out of the container to find your nose the moment you open it. 1445 not so much (if at all). Open the container, stuff your nose about an inch away to get a good whiff. My nose....1445 is a sophisticated fougère, very pleasant. Black Tie gallery opening, night at the ballet or other affair. Reading their description, you'd think orderly, confident & clean fragrance. It is. Then they throw that one little word, light. And that sums it up.....it's a very 'small' aroma overall. I also have the ASB, which is the same. It's quite nice, but also too repressed of an fragrance. Can't smell it more than an hour or so after application.

I also went and grabbed the SV Felce Aromatica. 1445 is similar in overall fragrance to me, but slightly more 'clean/slightly citrus' smelling. I know I've commented that SV FA is a little repressed of an aroma to my nose (and it still is, comparing aromas against CF Lime or from Wholly Kaw & Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements).....but 1445 is even lighter to my nose than SV FA.

So...would I buy it (shave cream or asb) again? Don't think so. Shaving performance is very nice, aroma too little. CF does have 1445 Eau De Parfum....maybe that's the product that has the long lasting, bolder 'aristocratic fougère', aroma they describe.

I bought some Jeeves products from there. They had soaps and aftershaves and were the only vendor to get the Black Tea scent that he offered. All the Jeeves products are sold out, unfortunately. I haven't bought anything else from there.

Oh OK, thanks. Thus far, I like the Red Woods and another I can't recall, from The Artisan Soap Shop(I believe, anyway). As for Jeeves.....no telling when I'll be finished with that soap(Bay Rum, as you know).
