Suribachi & cool water
Ming Shi 2000s on 6
Gillette Silver Blue blade
Tabac Original AS Lotion

Start & Finish with the T. There was a bit of Stirling menthol PSS rubbed from the bar into my beard, and face lathered with the damp brush. Three full passes, minimal touch up with the blade of unknown uses. Once I get all these previously used blades out of the DE razors, I can work that one-&-done plan to a two pass. Good service from the Chinese clone of the German Futur. No errors and lots of audible. Splashed on the AS before I thought about alum. Maybe next time.

I actually bought one of those razors myself, but haven't tried it yet. What is the best way to load a blade in it? I can get the alignment even on mine, but not every time. Bit of trial and error

 

You know that a picture is worth a 1,000 words. You probably have enough pics that is equivalent to 500,000 words.

 

I hope to see some reviews on the website from you soon .

 

Many of my pics say just the same thing, in a slightly different ways. Like the ones i've posted this month, as all the gear is same. Except that i ditched the balm.

Not really, Jason. My favorite Gem style razor is my Streamline followed by my Featherweight. The Clogpruf and I happily coexist, but I don't tend to use it very much.

Thanks Daniel! I saw your post in The Haul. That inspired me to use mine. Glad you asked about the alignment issue. Pop the cap off, look at the base plate. See the two little marks/ dents? ("A"). Now look at the cap - one end is smooth, the other has a raised bump/ridge. ("B").
You can hold the handle, set a blade on the base plate, and click the cap on. Alternative is to set the cap top side down, lay a blade over the two nubs, and press the rest of the razor into it cap. Either way you see the thin wire springs in the base that catch the nubs in the cap. The alignment is done by having the "A" marks opposite the "B" bump. I've made it a habit to hold the handle with the "A" away from me, set a blade on the base, and click the cap on with the "B" toward me. Never have blade alignment issues this way.

If you haven't noticed, this razor has a huge blade gap. Ride the cap and it's all good. It's also a very noisy razor. You can hear the hairs popping! Could be the unconventional way the blade is held, kind of floating between the base and cap.
