    Friday's Shave

    Cold Water Rinse
Van Der Hagen Luxury Shave Soap
    Jayaruh #292
    J.A. Henckels Rapide
    CVS CS SE
    CWR
    Granddad's Blend AS

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Van Der Hagen Luxury Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #292 Badger Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the J.A. Henckels Rapide Lather Catcher razor with a CVS CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Granddad's Blend AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Friday morning:

    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Super Speed/7 AM day 5
    Proraso White SS
    Proraso White ASB
    Aqua Velva Sport AS Splash

This 7 AM blade is starting to show signs of fatigue so tomorrow will be the day that will determine whether I continue with it until Sunday or not. The Proraso White soap is definitely my favorite from that company - its scent, lather, and skincare are brilliant as well as the soothing cooling sensation it gives. The matching pre/post cream makes such a great balm, and I’m really enjoying the Aqua Velva Sport aftershave - it smells very nice and it doesn’t lack menthol. Two passes gave me a hell of a good shave!

    Have a good weekend![IMG]

    EJ DE87/Scotch & Stowe razor
    Astra SP blade
    Vie-Long Silver Tip brush
    Viking "Citron" SS
Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe/Viking "Citron" balm
    Pinaud Citrus Musk cologne

Matching the EJ DE87 head with the Scotch & Stowe handle proved to be a winner. Liked it a lot and will probably use this particular combo much more often. All the other parts liked each other and a fine shave was had. My face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks

    I imagine.
But, I will not: have enough razors which suit my tastes not to have to learn to use another one!
By the way I have the same model chromed, in brass I imagine, which is definitely great!

I saw a recent commentary kind of downplaying poor Col Conk. That won't stop me from considering it in the future, though. I'll bet there are many positive commentaries, too.

    Thank you, Gary!

This one is actually re-release as this soap was offered as part of a travel scuttle set previously. PAA has a large variety of soaps always available, and then they offer several seasonals. They sometimes rename or relabel the seasonal soaps which can make you think they have something new. This particular soap is a fall release, so it may not be around after a while until next year.

    Fantastico!

    Razor: G. SST FB England
    Blade: Rapira SS (#3)
    Brush: Omega 10019
    Soap: Cella

Last shave for this blade and thus the razor.
This Cella needs no water abuse to shine. A dry brush and face lathering will reward you with a properly lifted beard, a well massaged face and a fantastic lather. Marco, get your coat!

This continues to be a lovely razor and shave. 2 passes today mind, WTG &ATG. I need to continue to baby my skin at the moment. That said, a few minor touch ups and two passes was good to go!

The SST is such a well balanced and proportioned razor. It just wants to waltz and ballet over your face!

Nice soap as well. Good slickness and not at all drying.

    Shave on!
