New Improved Tuckaway/Derby Premium/TOBS Sandalwood . Used one bottom shim to increase rigididty a bit, a very tame but decently effective shave. Derby might not be the best match here, a bit too tame for my taste. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

Saturday will be a great shave. Probably the coolest looking soap bowl in my den. The Cadman brush/bowl custom set is such eye candy. ***EDIT - Excellent shave. 2-pass + light clean up. Loved the shaving soap on this shave. I hadn't used this in many months and I had forgot how good this Klar soap works when it's loaded well and the water is kept light on the face-lathering phase. It gives a highly protective and rich shave. I use a pre-shave oil with this soap because I think it seems to add something to this soap's performance that takes it to a higher level than it already has. I believe I could have gotten just as good a shave today with the soap by itself, but that oil seems to bond to my skin and give it that final layer of protection that satisfies my shave-paranoid mind. I got BBS easy and the fresh BiC CP blade in the Futur on the lowest setting and it was just effortless. Now on the post-shave, I altered the Klar aftershave (which I found too thick and oily and too heavily scented) by adding alcohol, mentholated shave den witch hazel and distilled water. I think I dumped out about 1/3rd of the bottle and added the alcohol/witch-hazel/water mix to thin it out. It worked and it gave a nice mentholated effect and just the right amount of soothing moisturizing oils and a great astringent effect. I guess sometimes if you don't get something how you want it, then you have to put your own touches to it. Now the aftershave performs incredibly well and doesn't leave a greasy feel, but instead leaves a natural, lovely post-shave softness. I didn't find it necessary to use the PAA serum this time around. The custom-altered Klar aftershave nailed all my needs in one splash application.
