Well, I made it through the day without dropping anything, or having any other mishaps so I'll go back to using sharp objects. I decided with two days growth to grab the Qshave since it has the biggest baddest gap I know of. Its top setting is "6", so that's where it went with a new Voskhod in to make sure it's a sharp and smooth blade. I picked the JR312 which is a really awesome looking and functioning brush and the El Caballero from Oleo Soapworks. This is their Bay Rum version and it's a very nice scent and lather. I haven't used it in quite awhile and checked the website. Yep, still working and available. As an aside - Jeeves is no longer there. Their website finally expired. For those who haven't heard they are gone and out of business. Have been for some time. Just took time to kill the website. Actually, to just let it die of old age apparently. Again, I digress.

I love the sound of the Qshave as it mows everything down. Two days growth gone in two passes and touchups and everything totally smooth to perfection. No irritation or other issues.

For those who have asked, Chris @Bama Samurai , AKA the Yakuza Boss is alive and well in the great State of Alabama. He is working even more than I am which is scary. He'll be back when things settle down. I messaged Adam @Drygulch and he has been doing the workaholic routine as well. That and the fact his work blocks forums from their computers so he is a bit limited when he's being used like a Russian mule. Both say hello and I'm sure they'll be back and causing trouble in the near future. Some of you new guys may not know either of them. Chris is the founder of this group, Adam is one of the original troublemakers, or O.G. as we like to say.

Well, that's what I get for posting before catching up. I haven't heard anything other than they were out of business for quite awhile now. Website says the domain expired. Maybe he can get it going again.

 

Sheesh - That guy in the article looks like a snurgler. And that ain't a good thing!!

 

If you're chosen by the Veg and she doesn't like it? Yep...that's a deal breaker. Time for a new girlfriend with taste and class.

Hopelessly behind but here is my update

I wrapped up my weekday focus on Jwest razors with my SK-3. It is one of my smallest razors but a joy to use.



Saturday I shaved with a big 7/8 Koraat with a 3/4 grind. I recently honed after a failed honing attempt. Happy to say this time I got it right, smooth and sharp.
