Saturday Straights' Shave Cold Water Rinse Van Der Hagen Luxury Shave Soap Jayaruh #292 Gravjura 5/8 CWR Granddad's Blend AS Getting back on the horse today. This is my first straight shave since my accident. It is also my first shave with this Russian straight I got from @Redfisher . My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Van Der Hagen Luxury Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #292 Badger Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the Gravjura 5/8 (1964) and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Granddad's Blend AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

2019-11-09, Saturday As I said yesterday, I had to try my G 1000 (Slim Twist or whatever it's named): a great experience as the weight is in the head and, being lazy, I like to let the razor work. Thank you @BlueShaver! Can't see a good reason for doing myself all the effort! Changed the blade after first pass as it seemed to be exhausted (I must be contagious...), but there was nothing left.
