Boomtown is a great scent. The leather and gunpowder really come through.

I have this one, the Clasico, Atomic, Atomic Pumpkin and Pineapple Bay Rum. Also the Captain Smythe's Reserve Barrel Aged Bay Rum aftershave.

I would say the new equipment is working, fantastic picture.

Have you detective any changes in the edge yet?

 

I'd like to see Smitty reduce the aftershave price...that of the soaps is decent, though.

 

Thanks, Jim! It's funny that the razor felt sharper. I stropped with the fabric and then the leather. I usually don't strop with the fabric. I don't know if that was the difference, but I won't question it. Have a nice day, my friend.

Up and moving early this morning. My wife is a vendor at a local craft show so I had to help her get loaded up and off before taking Mocha for her walk. If Mike's Bay Rum is unapologetic in terms of scent, then Mike's Vetiver is on an entirely different level. This Haitian Vetiver scent is not toned down, rounded out or in the background. You get the full dose upfront and constantly. Those that do not like vetiver need not apply. Three passes with touch ups along my jawline and neck caught the little guy with ease. A splash of Fine Fresh Vetiver and a spritz of Guerlain Vetiver EdT and I am ready for the day. I am off to visit my Mom, take her to lunch and the grocery. I hope to be back in time to enjoy some of the college games today. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.

I always use linen now, not sure if it makes a difference but I think so..... or I’m just being OCD.

 

I find the aftershaves to be a good value. They are highly scented so a little goes a long way.

Even though I have just completed 6 consecutive straight shaves for my challenge, the total number of shaves on this blade after honing is 8 shaves. The razor is still very sharp and there isn't any difference, except that the blade felt sharper on this morning's shave. I stropped on the fabric and then the leather. I usually don't use the fabric, but decided to do so, today. I just posted today's shave if you want to read it. Thanks for asking about my progress, Keith.

 

Actually, now I see the Boomtown soap is same price as the A.S. Shux. Budget time!!!

 

Most soaps, anyway....the CK6's are high just like the aftershaves.
