Good morning everyone. Just getting ready to head outta here. Had my dental bliss day off and now it's time to hit the desk again. Bong, that is one nice looking Duck! Did Glenn do that one? Pretty! JoAnna, feel better - soon. Throat must be a result of all of that proud mama whoopin' and hollerin' you were doing yesterday. (Congrats, by the way!). Stay on the couch a little longer too - it's good for you. Justin, thanks for the encouraging thoughts... Hi Bill, Jim and anyone else that might be here. Hope y'all have a great day!
howdy back...tryin' to have a great day, trying to catch up on everything I fell behind on as a result of Micah dragging me away from work for a day....:happy102
Hey computer peoples, I got one for ya; I am fixing a pc, the cpu was broken, got that replaced, now I cant get a usb or ps2 keyboard to work. Ideas?
My first suspicion would be that whatever surge caused the cpu to fry probably hit other parts of your system-board. It could also be that you need to update the systemboard firmware. But I suspect the motherboard is going out.. One other thing to check is make sure you plug in the keyboard before you turn it on. I've seen this cause problems before.
I was afraid of that. I have tried the keyboards several different ways, but the lights never come on.
yeup.... how did you know the CPU was bad? lightening strike? trial and error? not questioning the problem, just trying to gain insight. if lightening/electric surge, then yes, the other components are probably zapped, bad board. highly unlikely a static discharge from you would take out those ports, but replacing a CPU, it's possible. but without more to go on , then I'd definitely say system board is fried
Hey all... Crappy night turned into crappy day. Lets get this straight. CPU fan quit, you replaced it, and now you cannot get either a usb or ps2 keyboard to work? Its not the same keyboard that you are just using an adapter for both plug types, right?
Confessions of a sad little man: Honestly, I'm a little bummed that ONS isn't more popular than it is.
Good afternoon all. Just got in from seeing Star Trek. It was an excellent movie, very entertaining, and works great at shedding all the baggage of the previous stale movies. I may have to see this one again.
