Good Monday morning to everyone, here in the states we celebrate veterans day.
More important to me than most other hollidays, thank you for your service. A shout out to all active duty men and women in the armed services!
No, I'm not a veteran, to many illnesses to get in, even in my younger days.
Thanks again!
This morning's shave was a surprise, really! Loaded a Derby Premium blade and went to work. First pass was a little resistance, nothing bad, nothing worse than just a little firmness. The second pass was really good, no resistance hardly at all. Third fuzzy style clean up pass was just needed, got me where I like to be.
The head shave, this is where some of the blades fail to make it where it counts. First pass, wow, ok, that went extremely well, light and smooth. Second pass the blade started to wane in sharpness, not bad, but the resistance got higher, still no pulling yet. The third fuzzy style clean up pass was needed, but just like most good blades at this point, it was still sharp enough to finish the job.
I'm not as smooth as I would be with a blade I like, but I'm not bad. No irritating stuff going on here, that's always nice.
I'd give this blade a firm 8.5 on the Feather scale. 10 being a Feather, 1 being an unusable blade.

If all I had was these blades, I would use them, no problem. I would prefer sharper blades, but these woud work fine.
A side note.... I've been using my Monobit for this month's morning shave. I have had NO cuts, nicks, burns, scrapes or any of that nasty stuff. Matter of fact my skin feels great. This is what I expected from this razor, I have not been disappointed!
Everything else worked as expected.

Enjoy your day
