I meant tires....I always refer to tires on my vehicle as shoes. Brakes are a cheap fix. I can handle those myself.

Monday NOvember 11

No Repeat (mostly) NOvember. Up today is a Henckels Rapide with a GEM blade and a wedge adapter.

Bowl/Scuttle - Simpsons mug
Soap - Williams
Brush - Rubberset 200-4
Blade - GEM SS SE (2) w/wedge adapter
Razor - Henckels Rapide
Post Shave - OSMA Pierre alum, Furbo Blu A/S

First time using this wedge adapter with a SE blade; seemed to work well. I did a two pass shave today, the first pass, WTG, was excellent. No irritation. The second pass, XTG, was excellent as well, finishing BBS. The Willliams shave soap did an ok job but I needed to re-apply it several times during my second pass as it was drying up on my face. The alum was a little vocal again on one side of my neck but that was it. Finished up with the Furbo Blu A/S.

The main thing is just to remember - it's a medium that allows anyone to say anything they want with no reliable means to fact-check it. For instance, I could tell you that I'm a multi-billionaire who really lives in an undersea fortress and just don't want to let anyone know. Obviously, those who have met me know differently (or do they?), but yeah, that's the problem with the internet. If something sounds too good to be true, just as always, it is. And if you just accept what people say upfront without stopping to check on things from time to time you can get burned when you least expect it.

There's also the old internet adage that half of the people on the internet are men.......and so are half the women.

Not sure about the Mod list but I do know it puts you on my therapist's list for addiction treatment.

 

I prefer to only buy American, and only date American. I know of instances where mail order brides were legit and the people were very happy. However, the success rate is quite low.

I appreciate the info, Danny. However, I am happy with my Dovo Shavette. With that said, this info is definitely great for those that want to try a kami-like shavette razor to add to their den.

 

I thought it was interesting Joe. I kami that would take 1/2 of a DE blade. Take care.
