    Good Monday....oh it's Tuesday morning!
    Well anyway here we go.
    Dug out another type of blade today.
    The Astra Superior Platinum got a gp at it this morning, neen a long time. The first and second passes were about the same, a shave that just happened. Not a rough shave, but not a gentle one either. After the third clean up pass I was more or less where I like to be. The head shave was about the same, sharp enough to do the job but nothing to write home to mom about. I needed the clean up pass to get it were I like to be. A blade that is not super sharp but hangs in there. I can see why others like this blade, starts out ok sharp, and stays ok sharp for the whole ride.
    For that reason I give it an 8 on my scale of 1 (useless) to 10 (feather). I would use this blade if I had to, but I wouldn't reach for it first round of choosing players.

    I finished the Superior 70 yesterday and had to grab some more. The bodega across the street from work was out of Superior 70 Bay Rum yesterday. In place of it was Dr Sana Alcohado which was virtually the same barring a slight color difference. Nice 2 pass shave. Enjoy your day.

    Blade: vintage Schick Plus Platinum
    Razor: Schick M adjustable
    Brush: Poculi synthetic
    Soap: Jeeves of Hudson Street Blood on Steel
    Post: Witch hazel, Jeeves of Hudson Street Blood on Steel aftershave

    Hard to get going after a long weekend. No weepers or problems with this shave, thankfully, and I'm reminded of the high quality of these products. Been a while since I've used Jeeves Blood on Steel. Very nice. Everything came together and worked quite well.

    Thank you, Charlie. Since mid-October she has had the flu twice and now has a bad cough. I think it's pneumonia but her doctor says there isn't much they can do. She's been on antibiotics twice and steroids. Can't seem to shake it. Very odd as she's always healthy. She was able to do very little over the weekend and rest so hopefully that helped. Thanks again!
