Get the Sony D-50. Love it. It uses a MSPro or ProDuo card or something like that, and it takes great pics. Or, probably cheaper, like you mentioned above, swap out the card reader, or I think you can get a USB card reader....
Justin, what version of windows is on your wife's computer? I have a fuji, but the fuji photo management is terrible, so I don't have it instaled. I have XP pro on my laptop and when I attach my camera to the computer via the usb cable, MS photo and scanner program takes care of transferring the photo. With all the bashing M$ gets, (from me included) there are somethings that just work on MS that needs more workarounds when using linux. I am sure MS has strong-armed many companies so this is the case.
XP on both computers. However, she has Nikon software on both and I think that the Nikon software is causing some issues. Nikon has its own propietary software that pushes itself towards being as bad as the Kodak EasyShare. I suppose many manufacturers are doing this now. It was just the Kodak that I ran into the issues with first. I used to love my old SLRs.. Expensive and wasteful, but I didn't have to worry about proprietary software. As I am writing this, I hauled the old camera bag out. (I couldn't even recall what I used to use in the days before digital).. Nice old heavy SLRs... Olympus OM-10 and Minolta X 370. Not the best back then, but they were nice to have in the days before everything went stupid. I think that just unearthed my 15 year issue with digital cameras. They don't work for me because I hate them in general. Huh.... well that explains quite a bit. Boy I enjoy being a walking anachronism....
other than the whole rabbit season/duck season thing on Fuzzy and Duckster and the changes on Rolls... have there been any custom title changes at all in the last three months?
1) yes, but I don't want another stinking cable on my desk - I want fewer. I do realize this is the best option, its just irksome... 2)Yes, I do speak for myself.. and talk to myself as well. I also talk to inanimate objects when they fail to follow my intrinsic mental logic of what they should do and how they should operate. Do you have a problem with that? Who is the greater menace? The person who screams vehemently at all the other drivers on the road? Or the person who quietly drops nails in front of them?
"walking anachronism" :rofl not that funny, since I do that from time to time as well...:ashamed001 seriously, best case here is a new card reader my first digital camera was a Kodak, once I got over the excitement of having a digital camera, I realized I didn't like it. I uninstalled all of its software and just pulled the images from the card directly. We have a Canon and a Samsung now, love them both, but still only use Windows and pull directly from the card I don't think so hahahahahahahahahha, doubt that...they probably just haven't been reading mine.... later Matt hey Bong gotta go get some fixin' ready for mornin' consumption, family is wanting to masticate some vittles
1) well, reduce the number of cables.... I mean really, who needs a mouse? or speakers? or monitor? just don't even think about removing the USB-powered coffee warmer/USB hub! :rofl 2a) that wasn't directed at you, per se, but..... 2b) I do that as well, especially with the inanimate objects (why must this frikkin' keyboard keep doing CAPS LOCK!!! IT KNOWS I WANT TAB!!!!!!)
Once again you beat me to the punch line. ::lam Morning again folks. Dragging here after my 0130 wake up call.. grrr glad the casino is not too busy this morning yet.
