With your morning temps, I would skip the cold water shave as well. Beautiful photo and razor with an even better recap. Great shave and photo Jeff. It is amazing how changing a handle changes the entire shave. Beautiful shave and photo Danny. Lovely shave and photo Gary
Nov 13th Proraso PS Red Barrister's Reserve SC - Fern Zenith 2 band badger Drew Dick 7/8 Damascus Steel - Green Kirinite Barrister's Reserve AS - Fern Pulled out a couple software items I've had for awhile to go along with today's shave. The aluminum handled Zenith 2 band badger made quick work out of a shave cream sample from Barrister's Reserve. Nice lather, very fragrant and slick. Purchased both of these BR products from Maggard's, plenty included...enough left for at least a couple shaves more. Frigga plowed through 24 hours of growth with ease, smooth DFS+ shave (didn't feel like chasing a kiddo). Followed with the matching sample, smooth and now smelling fine. Wifey approved aroma, likely will buy the adult sized versions on a future order. Playing a couple minutes with the 'oil painting' filter is Photoshop today....nicely hides all the scratches on the aluminum handle! Hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday!
Thank you Joe. I received the Old Spice cream from @Tommynick . I believe it is an Indian made product sold in Indian grocery stores here in the US Thank you Jim. Thank you Charlie. My back is screaming. I should have brought the TENS unit to the office.
Nov 13th No Repeat Razor: Gillette NEW LC Blade PolSilver (2) Brush: Cremo Premium Horse Hair PS: Proraso SS: Chiseled Face Santa Paula AS: Stetson Easy 3 pass shave today. One small weeper in the crease of my chin. I always have to be careful there and today I just plowed through and got a gentle reminder. Not quite BBS today. I have to blade buff against the grain to get a BBS shave and I'm always curious about those who don't. Is it technique, skin and hair type, or a combination? Yes, probably a combination. I focus in riding the cap on easy areas and blade buff the tough spots on my ATG pass. Any ideas? The CF Santa Paula is an odd citrus smell. Smells more like dirt to me. Not sure I like horse hair brushes, but I realize this $8 brush might not be a great representation of the whole.
Nov 13 Good morning, guys! Straight Razor Shave #119 30 Shave w Same Razor/Setup Dare (9) Wostenholm 5/8 full hollow square pt Sterling Boar Brush Sterling Sandalwood SS and AS Nivea ASB not pictured This is shave number 9 using the same straight razor and the same lineup. Made an awesome face lather without blooming the soap. The Sandalwood scent is really coming off stronger as when I first used this soap. Got an amazing BBS shave w/o any blood or irritation. Under my old system, I would grade this shave a 99. Finished with the matching aftershave and Nivea ASB. I am off again today. Have a great day, guys!
