  1. See Joe.................blooming is not necessary.

    Thanks Jim.

Thanks Blair...it was a very nice shave.

Thanks Andrew. I'll have to give that a try and I will not hold you liable for any possible nicks, cuts or blood letting. ;)
  2. November Anti-triskaidekaphobia Day

    Burma Shave soap
    Burma Shave brush
    Burma Shave mug
    Cool water
    Cooper Monobilt
    Astra Superior Platinum
    RazoRock alum stick
    Shulton Leather AS
    Shulton Leather cologne
SOTD 11132019 Burma Shave set.gif Something old but new, and several other old things. One of them spelt correctly. Picked up the Burma Shave set in my favorite non-ebay auction. Fresh puck of soap with no ingredients listed, and the brush was still in it's sealed bag. So I washed out the mug & brush (no stink!) and dropped the puck in. Loaded with a well shook out boar knot and face lathered the barely scented soap. A little thick on my face so I dipped tips and juiced it up. Fresh Astra in the Cooper, three passes, flawless! Very nice reduction using a new blade. Glad I invested in the box of 100. Slight bit of stubble on my lower neck was the price of no irritation. Spending time training up and I believe I can catch that too. Alum was silent for the feedback. Vintage Old Spice for the finish. A note to Joseph @Primotenore It's not an exact match, but Wholly Kaw Project Leather isn't far from this vintage Shulton product.
    Good Shaves Y'all!
  3. Great shave, Rick!
  4. Wonderful shave, Jason!

How are you liking your SP bowl? You know I like mine seeing as i bought a second one.
  6. Marvelous shave and very detailed report, Doug!
  7. Terrific shave and picture, Rick!
  8. Cool shave, Andrew!
  9. Great shave and report, Rick!
  10. :signs001: Danny.
The Fat is a very decent soap.
  11. I have read the Blue Ming, but I still need an explanation...
  12. Nice photo and report, Douglas.
  13. Great shave and report Rick!
  14. Duly noted, thanks, Rick.
  15. Off the top of my head? Based on the October/November MWF focusses on this thread:
    1. The non-descript scent (I have Palmolive as my go to 'love the lather and just want it to smell like soap' product)
    2. The lengthy explanations on how to lather it properly (apparently this code is only cracked by members of the Knights Templar with Masters degrees and the ability to know how to make a Caramilk bar)
    3. The apparent need to use it regularly, deal with the cracking, or just face disturbing the triple milled gods. (usually stated with reference to pt 2 as well...)

What does tempt me about MWF?
    1. The awesome ceramic container
    2. Being able to say I've tried another of the classics
    3. The fact that it doesn't smell like Arko or Clubman...:happy036:
  16. Very nice, Doug. I am a fan of Maol splashes as well. Don't have that one, but do have Frankenlime and Heliopteris though.
I wonder who makes their soaps for them?
  17. Hump Day! Great pics, Andrew. The Red Tip is getting lots of love around these parts lately too.
  18. Our scent preferences are a bit different, but i do agree with you on this one. :D
  19. That is a very nice RickPic for sure! The MonoBilt is getting tonnes of love on here lately. All justified.
  20. Thanks Danny!
