    Thursday's Shave

    Cold Water Rinse
    Palmolive Shave Cream
    Jayaruh #313
    Gem Push-Button
    CVS CS SE
    CWR
    Aqua Velva Musk

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Palmolive Shave Cream face lathered well with the Jayaruh #313 Badger Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the Gem Push-Button razor with a CVS CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Thursday morning:

    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Super Speed/7 AM day 5
    Bundubeard Klipspringer’s Kick SS
    Prep ASB
    Alt Innsbruck AS Splash

This Plissoft synthetic with the 26mm knot is unbelievable - what a lather maker it is. It whipped up such tremendous lather from the Klipspringer soap which has that delightful coffee/peppermint scent and great slickness as well as an awesome menthol sensation. A nice massage with the Prep followed by a couple of splashes of the Alt Innsbruck and I was good to go. Three passes did the job for me - big time BBS![IMG]

Excellent shave, Jeff! The Plissoft knot is great, been using my Big Bruce this month and it's probably the best brush i own so far.

    SOTD:
Today i decided to give the sworn enemy of wet shaving, canned goo a try again. I havent used this stuff since December, and i was actually surprised. Contrary to popular belief, this stuff is not terrible. I lathered it with a moist shaving brush( also my first ever brush from last year), and it provided a wonderfully slick shave, with decent post shave care. By no means does this stuff beat a good soap, but in a pinch id use it again, in fact i still have another can of supermax gel that i have to use up sooner or later too. I'll do a budget shave with the super max gel once i switch out the feather for a super max blade.

Even though the Nivea performed decently, nothing is replacing bundubeard or arko soon. The brush also shed about 20 hairs in this shave so the Dischem synthetics life has come to an end after a year. Not too bad for a 2 dollar brush lol.

Ive also switched back to classic aftershaves in the summer after a long run with prep balm, my skin is just too oily in summer for balms.

    Brush: Dischem synthetic
    Gel: Nivea extreme comfort
    Razor: Wilkinson sword tto
    Blade: feather hi-stainless
    Aftershave: Brut by Fabergé[IMG]
