I'll have to think about that theory. But granted, when Steve died, so did the personification of cool. Ahh Nevada Smith, now that is a heap of good movie watching there.

Agreed, there is no reason for a news program to run longer than 30 minutes. 10 for the news, 5 each for weather and sports. That worked great when I was a kid, that all thats needed now.

 

That's a nice theory, and no doubt does have a lot to do with it. But that's not the true beginning. I think the start of the decline was in 1963 when Leave It to Beaver ended. People forgot how to be decent people, and without June Cleaver reminding you not to act like Eddie Haskell, over the next 6 years culminating with the Summer of '69, the general population started moving in the self-centered-feels-good-to-me direction. After hitting the bottom in '69, things leveled off and pretty much stayed the same with some ups and downs here and there........until Novemeber 7, 1980, found a new low.....

Got a straight coming... nothing grand but something to start with from JimR. So now I need to not go *AD crazy buying stuff for a straight until I at least have tried it.

I have been procrastinating on this coursework for months. I have 1 month to get it finsihed and sent, I need to buckle down get this stuff done. Do me a favor... remind me about that once and a while, OK?

My goal today is to finish up some loose ends on week 6 and get week 8 cranked out... I want to have Week 10 done by next weekend.

Hi Dom,
I got's me a headache, and it's not even liquor induced. maybe I'll got for a run, but it's already getting too hot. I think it's nearing 70 degrees here.

 

OK... noise level just increased at home so I am not able to focus anymore... Wife has TV on, daughter is reading out loud, and the birds are making a ruckus. Oh well, at least the loose ends in week 6 are done. Daughter and wife have a party this afternoon they are going to so that will help.

Justin, any luck with the camera? do you have any standard SD cards? you can pick those up for less than 10 dollars now even locally, that should tide you over till the new card reader comes in

Afternoon yinzers n'at.

Successfully shoehorned Arch Linux onto the notebook. System took 7GB out of 12 for itself (including space for downloading packages), leaving me just 3.5 GB for /home.

That's fine, since the HD is a standard size notebook drive. Any IDE notebook drive will do for a replacement.
