Here's a weird one, I think. It's just a standard 1930s model Enders Speed Razor (not to be confused the the later Speed "Shaver"), but it has "Compliments of the American Airlines" branding. Seems like an odd thing for an airline to distribute, but perhaps it was typical for the time. Regardless, because I hadn't seen one before, I decided to make this my first Enders Speed "Razor" acquisition. I'm obviously quite familiar with the later models, so I assume blade adaptation will the same. I am impressed with the label execution. It appears to have some kind of sheen over the label itself---almost like a fine coating of lacquer, so it endured my hot water soak and polish just fine.

It was typical of the time. The Enders catchphrase "Give Wings to Your Shave" was a reference to Enders' being associated with distribution on the airlines (Given away on TWA, United, and American Airlines). In the same way that many future Schick customers were introduced to Schick electric razors on trains. This ad pictures the new airliner model Shaver being introduced, 1941.

Yeah, the unique branding caught my eye. Otherwise, I really wasn't in the market for this model.

    Palmolive Shave Cream
    Jayaruh #313
    Gem Contour
    CVS CS SE
    CWR
    Aqua Velva Musk

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Palmolive Shave Cream face lathered well with the Jayaruh #313 Badger Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the Gem Contour razor with a CVS CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    2. Occams V2 / No3 plate

    Pitralon Polar A/S Lotion

We are out tonight for Dinner with friends so I wanted a Good Shave. Started off very poorly as the last remnants of my Speick soap refused to lather, so switched to this EJ cream of my son`s. This has a real menthol kick and got a quick rich lather for the Shave. After a couple of strokes I realised that the Blade in the HFT was spent. and not going to provide a nice Shave.

I decided that the best way to save the Shave, was to resort to the Occams V2 ,with which I seem to have no problems getting a comfortable quality close all round finish.I really enjoyed the Shave using this cream which leaves the face post Shave feeling tingly and refreshed. Just an early evening
Shower and I will be set up for the evening.

SOTD Nov 15-2019 Last shave for a while with this great Enders Speed shaver because I get bored with a razor and onto my racks of many razors. I did some buffing today and the razor handled that with no issues and received a excellent shave of total of (7).

Razor : Enders Speed Shaver - MFG 1940's>1955
Blade : Schick pro line B-20 (7) + Enders blade carrier
    Soap : Razorock Lavender
    Brush: Razorock Noir 400
Preshave: Brush wash the face with CeraVe hand bar soap + a dollop of Aloe Vera gel on the beard area.
Post shave: Alum + cold water rinse
Post shave: Razorock blue barber AS with witch hazel + Nivea balm
    Results:9.5/10 or CCS,DFS,BBS + Alum indicated nothing + no weepers = [IMG]

Shave was on par with a B1 even though this razor is milder than the B1. Either my technique is improving with these magazine razors or the C3 is a different shaver from the C1 and C2. Either way I'll find that out tomorrow.

    Beautiful razors. And fantastic photos.
    Congratulations on the acquisitions.

I saw one of the airline sets on the Bay but the price was flying as high as the airliners.

Single pass with light cleanup before a field trip to the museum today. Binned the blade after a so so shave. This razor usually gives a great shave but if the blades done it's done.
