Movember SOTN

I posted this new to me oldie in "The Haul." A somewhat aggressive shaver for sure, but I think I'm going to like it. I may try a somewhat heavier handle next time. Happy shaves all!

Razor/Blade:- Feather AS-D2 / Gillette Nacet #2
Post/After-shave:- T.N. Dickinson Witch Hazel Astringent mixed into the 240ml bottle with Natural Glycerin (20), Tea Tree Antiseptic (10) & Peppermint (10 drops)
Fragrance:- Davidoff Cool Water Wave

 

Actually I found out I like things I used to detest and vice versa!

One of my favorites. It's a relatively hard sop that whips up a great long-lasting lather. And the scent is pleasant, but not overwhelming.

 

Friday 11.15.19 SOTD


First shave with this brush, after which it bloomed considerably, with minimal shedding.
Eats a lot of soap but makes a great lather quickly. It’s definitely a keeper.

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Palmolive Shave Cream face lathered well with the Jayaruh #313 Badger Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the Gem Contour razor with a CVS CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Through The Fire Friday
Speed kills. I should have tossed this blade yesterday, but I was in a hurry for no good reason. Not only did I use a blade past its prime, I went too fast over my neck, so a little irritated. Not too bad, though, because the lather was great and the splash is smooth.

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard)

Proraso White Tub today. 20 seconds to load the Plisson #12 European White Badger brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Personna 74 Tungsten still in the vintage Gillette Fat Boy. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Stirling Executive Man aftershave.
