Well, I believe in miraculous healings and maybe one day you will. Until then, you are doing great with your shaves my friend.
I’ve only tried the Formula T. Next time I visit Asha I want to go by the WSP store. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've only tried the rustic, but have to admit, there is some curiosity about the Formula T. Maybe this is a time to follow the one out then one in rule.
NOvember KMF~~Simpson~~Friodur~~Polo Fell off of the wagon to try this new soap and am I ever disappointed. No great Pachouli scent as I had hoped. The soap, itself is ok, but does Primo need another "ok" soap?? So for the first person willing to pay for EXACT shipping, funds sent Friends & Family ONLY, this Kiss My Face Peaceful Patchouli is yours. PM me. Sorry, but CONUS only. Paid $20 off of Ebay. The label is worn, but I just cracked the seal today and used exactly two squirts. Tomorrow...back to the tried and true MWF and the rest of the gang. Peace...out.
I just heard from our dear brother @Bama Samurai. Chris has been incredibly busy with a new job. It's a process, but he's adjusting. He asked me to let you all know, and he'll rejoin us when he can.
Sorry the KMF cream was a disappointment, Joseph. Not a fan of patchouli, but generous offer my friend! Sent from my Galaxy using Tapatalk
Sorry the soap was a disappointment but wonderful picture, Joseph! Thank you for the update, Charlie. I'm looking forward to the return of the @Bama Samurai .
Fitting that I should log back in when the theme is 'No Variation'... I deliberately took a bit of time out to get myself out of the RAD zone! Since my last posts I have put the SR away and focused on finding what really works for me. I have come to some conclusions (that of course, many of you have already come up with yourselves. 1. Some razors give a closer shave than others, but at a cost - comfort, irritation etc. 2. SE blades tend to give marginally better face feel than DE blades. 3. Blades are blades... They all cut the hairs. We will all have different preferences that are mostly based on how they feel to use, how long they last etc. etc. 4. Soap is soap, and will always be soap. Razors: The MMOC gives me my closest shave. However, I am not a fan of the feel of it during the shave - it seems a tad harsh. I also cannot shave as frequently with it. The Muhle R41 comes in next closest (by a small margin). It feels like it tugs at the hairs too much for my liking. Shaving ATG with it is not very pleasant. The Fatip Grande is a hair (pun intended) behind the R41. It's a good close shaver. It feels wonderfully smooth. Shaving ATG is a joy with this razor. The Ever-Ready 1912 comes next. It's a little bulky and I feel like it takes a lot of work to get a good close shave - as a result I usually end up with irritation. The Gillette EFBT comes next. Lovely smooth, comfortable and relatively efficient. It just doesn't get me as close as I like! Blades: I've tried lots of blades: Feather, Astra, Gillette Silver Blues, Voskhod, Rapira, BlueMax, Derby, Nacets... The list goes on. I have found that Astra SP are a nice smooth, sharp blade that perform consistently and fit the posts of my Fatip Grande better than most of the other blades (this is only significant due to the minor alignment issues that plague this razor). They are cheaper than most of the other blades out there, and they are a readily available blade from just about anywhere! Soaps: I have continued with my steady diet of TOBS soaps... I have in my stable: Peppermint (my favourite), Almond and Sandalwood. I can honestly say that I really enjoy the face feel and performance of these soaps and only alternate them purely for the scents. I have no doubt I'll be collecting more. Conclusion: In short - my favourite set up has revealed itself to me. Ironically (or not)... It is gear that I have possessed for some time. The Fatip Grande loaded with an Astra SP with TOBS soap and a Yaqi Tuxedo brush. Aftershave depends on the fragrance of the soap. My 'No Variation' November will be the use of the Fatip Grande with an Astra SP and a TOBS soap! I hope that you are all well and in good spirits! Enjoy your shaves gents!

Thanks everyone! So far the day has been a little slower. Trying to catch up and see how other peoples' month is going. Lots of great shaves happening. I'm loving "No Repeat November", but also looking forward to Decadent December. For me that will simply mean only shaving with precious metals. Yes, there will be lots of repeating in December. What does Decadent December mean to you guys?
I love it. As I was shaving with my Superspeed I was thinking, "If this was the only razor I had, I'd do fine." They're common and so they don't get as much attention from us collectors, but they're great shavers.
Thanks, Jim. Good to be back! What's your razor of choice these days? Still loving the Blackland offerings?
Great picture, Joseph! Sorry the new soap didn't work well for you, especially that the scent was disappointing.
