I have 2 green ones, now. I'd been using the other one for a while. The more recent one is a little brighter with more yellow swirls in the Catalin. I think this will go well with an outdoors, green shot. Maybe with something Stirling. Perhaps Gatlinburg. Maybe in a couple days.

Saturday Night Shave

 

Blue would have been cool, but I don't think so. I believe it's just red, green, and yellow. I used to think there was an "ivory" one because I saw one pic that looked like it. However, I've come to the conclusion that it was just a yellow one with poor lighting.

Penhaligon's has a great rep. I still haven't sample their scents yet. I need to find out if they have samples.

 

i have tried the endymion.fantastic scent..but its too pricey for me at present..very classy stuff..

Back to a Russian razor today. The Ideal, which is a clone of the Gillette Super Adjustable, otherwise known as the Black Beauty. Of course it's adjusted to 9 which gives it that extra amount of Russian gap. It's not quite the same level of engineering as the Consul but it works fine. I paired it with the Astra SP blade. This is the blade I use for head shaves with the Merkur 23c. It was also the first blade I ever bought in bulk. It's incredibly smooth and effective.

For soap and brush - the Blood on Steel from the meet-up this past summer and the meet up brush from @jtspartan . These two work perfectly together and the lather was outstanding. Nothing surprising since it's a Stirling product. Two passes, some touch up, then a third pass just because. Perfect finish and that's a wrap!! Enjoy your Sunday!!!
